My book Self Publish and Succeed has grown book launchers by hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. It's landed me podcast interviews, speaking engagements, helped to train my team members, attracted new team members, and probably other things I'm not thinking of right now. When you know a book can do all these things, the question really is if you don't have a book for your business, why not? And if you do, are you doing all the things you need to do? So the book is growing your brand and your business effectively. If you want a business or you're about to and you aren't an author of a book related to that business, well, this video is for you. Hey there. I'm Julie the Book Broad, founder of Book Launchers, a professional self publishing services company. If you want a copy of Self Publish and Succeed in Audio for free, hang on because I'm going to give it to you in a few minutes. But after working with more than 600 authors, many of them business owners, and having used books to grow my own businesses for 11 years, well let me tell you the seven benefits to using a book to grow your income and impact with a business. Number one, Clarity and vision. Probably not where you thought I was going to start because it's not about money directly, but boy oh boy, can clarity lead to money. The process of writing a book forces you to clarify your ideas, refine your message and develop a strong marketing vision for your business. As you organize your thoughts and create a cohesive narrative, you you'll gain valuable insights into your target audience, unique value proposition and core elements of your brand. This clarity will serve as a foundation for your marketing efforts. This is the hard work of becoming an author. It's why AI can't replace you. AI can write a book that anyone can write, but only you can look inside of you for those pivotal moments, those experiences, and then reflect on how that has given you a different lens on the world and how that's led you to be able to share this lesson in a particular way for your reader to connect with you and to connect with what you're sharing. Writing a book is hard because you're doing this hard work that makes all your communication, marketing and product or service delivery more clear and compelling to the very person you want to attract. Number two, Establishing authority and credibility. This is what most people desire when they're writing a non fiction book for their business. Many of our clients are like Roger Hernie and they have experienced massive success in business and they're sharing it for income and further positioning. Others are unknown when they launch their book, as was the case for Lorea Martinez. But bit by bit, her book led her to more and more exposure, and we recently heard from her that Barnes and Noble is carrying her book and ordering it for widespread distribution. She's become very well known in her space and her book sales are picking up steam as a result. But let's be clear, your book being published doesn't do this. Publishing a well written, informative book positions you as an expert in your field, but you have to use it. You have to continuously give it to people, tell people about it, put yourself on media, podcasts and if it's of interest to you, stages. The book opens the door for you to get in front of people and demonstrate your knowledge, experience and perspective, which can help you gain the trust and respect of your target audience. This increased credibility can open doors to new opportunities such as speaking, media and partnerships. I was recently asked by a local Las Vegas business owner if I could recommend a speaker they could hire for their open house for their new business location. She had a specific topic in mind and I immediately thought of two people. I gave them a short bio in their book titles and she said, oh, I want to talk to the woman who wrote Head Trash. That title sounds perfect. I don't know if Renee Cavallari booked a gig or not because that just happened yesterday, but I can tell you, being able to say that she wrote a book on this subject got her considered for this engagement Attracting Ideal Clients A book that addresses the specific needs, challenges and aspirations of your target audience will attract readers who are likely to become your ideal clients. By providing valuable information and demonstrating your expertise, you'll create a powerful connection with readers and build a loyal following of potential customers. With this in mind, would you like a copy of Self Publish and Succeed? You can of course buy it everywhere books are sold, but if you want it free in audio, well, just go to book launchers.com freeaudio and download it for free. Enjoy four passive income and lead Generation Put another way, your book can be marketing for your business that people pay you to read when your book sells, especially after a few years of it being out. When you're not promoting it as actively anymore, it becomes a source of passive income for you and passive passive leads, if that's such a thing. By including calls to action and links to your website, email list, or other resources within your book, you can convert readers into subscribers and into potential clients. This allows you to continue marketing to them long after they finish reading your book. But my favorite thing about writing a great book is that it's marketing. People will pass along to other people, recommend to others and put a high value on. Books change lives, and we all know it. That's why we pass along book recommendations to help somebody that needs a little helping hand. Number five Differentiation in a crowded market in so many industries, especially financial planning, but it's rampant in many industries. You compete on years of service because everyone has the same credentials. But that all changes when you write the book on a subject. Look at Bruce Hasler. He wrote the book on moving to tax free. A lot of financial planners are talking about the question of whether you'll have enough money for retirement. But he takes a different approach and basically says, well, planning for retirement. You might be missing a foundational question which is will I be paying higher tax rates on my future retirement plan distributions from my 401k and IRA? This book has put him on Fox News and is a point of differentiation for him in his business. In today's competitive business landscape, having a published book can help you stand out from the crowd. The right book that speaks to your ideal client gives you a compelling story to share with potential clients and and media outlets. Number 6 Monetize the content One of the topics I am about to produce a ton of content on Book Launchers TV for you is taking your book and basically turning it into a flywheel of content that can be monetized or used to grow your business. I demonstrated how I've cloned myself and that is part of our new Author Business Accelerator program. If you want to be coached by me, have me never wear out or have to stop to pick up my son from school. You can work with Julie the Book Brat and chat about your book idea, your marketing plan and so much more. And she's been trained by me and by every piece of content I've produced for the public and for our clients. So she's smarter than me because I don't remember everything I've said. But whether you use AI or not, a successful book can open up opportunities for your business such as developing courses, workshops, coaching programs, and it's all based on your book content. Your content from your book could turn into a keynote talk and so much more. We've even had clients like Nick Hutchison get international publishing deals. Carol Sanford has written a series of books and sold them in bulk to feed into her consulting business and teaches workshops off of each book. I turned Self Publish and Succeed into a course, Self Publish and Succeed Live, which you can enroll in Live here or go through the replay as part of the Author Business Accelerator program. Both you can find information on at our website book launchers.com or you can book a call to chat about it with us@booklaunchers.com apply number seven attracting the right team members and training your team when you write a book that's all about your process, your methods, the reasons why you do what you do and someone reads it, they may want to join your team or after they are already considering joining the team, the book can be the final thing they read before they decide. Once someone's on board, a book can be a powerful piece of your onboarding to train someone on your process, your methods, and the reason why you do what you do. Now some people feel like putting everything in a book will make it so people don't hire you, and that might be true of some people, but the person who is a do it yourself kind of person who will apply something from a book isn't likely to be your ideal client. I know a lot of people who read Chris Voss's book and then want to hire him. They don't suddenly think they're a better negotiator than Kris or his trained team. Many people read, self publish and succeed and do it themselves and that is great. But many others read it and go, yes, you guys are the experts. I'm hiring you to do what you do best so I can do what I do best. I'm never afraid to share my expertise because it can help someone and the more I help people, the more impact I have. The more impact I have, the more income my company and eventually I make. A book isn't an overnight business success path, but in time the right book written for the right audience with a good marketing path can be complete game changer for you and for your business. If you want to chat with my team about this, go to book launchers.com apply now.
