So I did a video on the people who shouldn't write a book and my friend said that was pretty negative. So this one's for you, Carlo. These are all the people who should write a book. Stick around to see if you're one of them. Hey, it's Julia, the book broad with Book Launchers, a California based company that will help you write, publish and sell a fantastic nonfiction book that builds your business and helps you achieve your goals. First, I have to say thank you. When I started uploading regular videos to my YouTube channel in the summer of 2017, I told my husband and my team that I wanted to create a community of 10,000 subscribers by the end of 2018. Well, we're not quite at 10,000 yet. When we are, we're going to have a party, but we're getting close. So I just want to say thank you because it's because of these fantastic people like you so that hang out and subscribe to the channel. Thank you. Katie Weiser, Rebecca Amadeo, Joan Elmore and a key relationship training We've solved marriage. Hope I said it right. Thank you for being active in my community. I really, really appreciate you. Let's get to it. Wondering who shouldn't write a book? Check out this video. Now here's who should these are nine people who should write a book. Number one, passion and purpose driven people with a clear message to share a I have an amazing friend, Ian Szabo. When he got on the bus for his first day of school, he noticed that everyone seemed very different from the normal kids. Some kids were in wheelchairs, others were missing limbs, some rode with machines to help them breathe. As he says today, he was riding the short bus to school every day. The kids that rode on that bus got bullied, spit on, called names and he basically wanted to be anyone else but that kid. Today he's trying to help parents and kids realize that if you're different, there's a gift in that and to just own who you are. So he has a great passion and purpose driven message. It's a great one for a new book. Number two Consultants and advisors. We have a media consultant client and she's writing her book to showcase what she does for clients and add a zero to what she charges. And in her book she can give tips and steps as to what she does for her clients to help those who won't be able to afford her fees. Funny enough, as she started writing her book, she found more clients already coming in and her rates are already going up and her book's not quite done yet. There's something to be said for setting a goal and setting your mindset towards charging more for what you do. Unless you don't have any cool case studies or examples or proprietary steps or unique approaches in your business, in which case you need to develop those A book is going to be something really important to add to your marketing and your processes. As one of our clients said, every year I don't have a book out, I'm leaving a lot of money on the table. Number three, if you have developed or created a cool new product, you need a book. Dave Asprey of Bulletproof Coffee said on the stage of Traffic and conversion in 2018 that people who read one of his books buy twice as much product as someone who doesn't. Again, if you have a cool product, you're leaving money on the table by not writing a book about its origin and your story. Number four Real estate investors or anyone raising capital open over and over for something Okay, I have a bias here. My first book, More Than Cash Flow, literally caused strangers to call us and offer us hundreds of thousands of dollars to invest. And this happened after reading my book. The entire process of getting investors to work with us was much shorter and easier and we could focus on whether they were a fit instead of convincing them we were legit. Number five Coaches Workshop trainers. Basically, if you sell education in any any format, online, in person, webinars, whatever it is, you need a book. You're selling your expertise and a book is your funnel in. By the way, Amazon is the single biggest database for searching for experts. Number six Speakers if you're already speaking and you don't have a book, you can probably easily turn your best keynote talk into a book and you're already halfway. And once you have a book, you have something to negotiate into deals. Sometimes the speaker budget isn't that big, but they can buy books for for marketing or education for every person in the audience. Plus, that would get your book into the hands of many ideal readers. Other times, if it's a choice between two fairly equal candidates to speak at an event, the one with a book has an edge. Number seven Natural or alternative health practitioners or healers. If there's a level of education involved in what you do in your business, a book will spread the word about what you do and ease the amount of work you have to do to educate your clients about what you do and why. Number I just said number eight. Number eight to gain an edge over your competition in your career. Think about this one. It's an investment in you and your brand. Let's pretend I'm the hiring manager of a major company and I have two people for a sales role that I really like, but one wrote a book on their unique approach to selling. Unless I don't like that book, which person do you think I'm more likely to hire? Number nine? So I didn't cover everyone here. So this is the catch all if you need more business, you need more referrals, leads, search engine traffic, traffic, media attention. To grow your business, a book is going to help. So unless your business is already so busy you can't possibly handle it growing, then a book is probably a fantastic thing for you to add to your marketing tool chest. Whew. If it sounds like a lot of people should write a book, it's true. But as I noted in my video on the three people who shouldn't write a book, there are some people who shouldn't. And if you're not ready to invest the time, money and energy it takes to create a book you're proud of, then you may want to hold off on it. But if you're ready, we'd love to help you create success with your book. Feel free to reach out book launchers.com let's chat.
