Book Launchers Book Publishing and Book Marketing Services Explained

Julie Broad (founder of Book Launchers) explains how Book Launchers helps nonfiction authors write, publish, and promote books via three main paths: free content (videos, monthly Deep Dive trainings, articles, newsletter), courses (12-week Self Publish and Succeed Live; 6-week Book Marketing Magic), and a monthly membership offering done-with-you/done-for-you services with multiple levels (writing coach, writer, invitation-only VIP). The company emphasizes marketing from day one (branding, keyword/category research, cover/title, launch prep, distribution choices) and offers long-term, flexible monthly engagements (typical 9–15 month project timeline; recommended 6+ months post-launch marketing). The video includes client examples and a call-to-action to visit the website or book a call.

Have you been watching these videos? Enjoying the content, but wondering what we do at Book Launchers or how we help authors? Well, if you want to know what it is we do for nonfiction authors at Book Launchers, then this video is for you. Hey there. I'm Julie the Book Broad, founder of Book Launchers. At Book Launchers, we help nonfiction authors write, publish and promote books to grow a brand or a business. The question is, how do we do that? We have three main ways we help authors. The first is with all our free content like this video and all the videos. At Book Launchers TV we have our monthly Deep Dive training sessions which happen every month except July and August. These two hour training sessions are on everything from writing, editing, layout to marketing. If you want to make sure you get the invites, get on our newsletter list@booklaunchers.com newsletter we also have articles on our website@book launchers.com and while not free, we also have Self Publish and Succeed, which is a low cost support tool to write a noboringbook that will sell. And soon we'll have a book marketing book as well. The next way we help is with courses. We have two courses right now. The first is Self Publish and succeed live, a 12 week course to help you write your first draft of a noboringbook. Then we have our Book Marketing Magic course which is all about selling your book to other people's audiences. No audience, no problem with this six week course that takes you through how you can get you and your book in front of your readers and those readers are in somebody else's audience already. Finally, the meat of what we do at Book Launchers is our done with you and done for you book writing, book publishing and book promotion service. This is set up as a monthly membership with different levels. One level comes with a writing coach and another comes with a writer. And we also have a VIP level that is by invitation only for folks that want speed, speed and quality, or for those authors that have a more complex project such as one that we have underway that has I think a dozen different people contributing to a book, including a historical researcher. That's a lot more complicated project that requires a lot more dedicated hours regardless of what level you join at or what level you launch at. Because there's flexibility in where you can be at different stages of the process. As long as you're a member, we keep working on your book. On our side we have a fairly regimented and clear process. So it's highly efficient for good decision makers and someone who can dedicate about five hours most weeks to their project, but we're not going to be as cost effective for authors who change their mind over and over, or for those people who seek perfection, or for authors who work hard for a week and then stop for months. For most people, though, the accountability of a monthly payment is really valuable, and it also gives just enough flexibility that you can take steps that will make your book great when the opportunity arises. It's a membership for that reason, but also for a handful of other important reasons. One of the big benefits of a monthly membership is that you can work with us for as long or as short as you want. There is no commitment, so you don't have to commit to a $30,000 expense upfront. You can go month by month. Now it's important to know that we will not compromise quality just to meet a deadline. We've learned that lesson the hard way a few times. So you can't show up on January 1st and expect a book on March 1st just because you're going to put 40 hours a week into but it does mean that you don't have to commit to a long term contract. We have had some clients come in just for the writing or just for the first couple rounds of editing. We've also had others come in with a final cover, but they need editing and layout and marketing. There's flexibility in our process because it's monthly and it's not a fixed contract. Of course, no matter what, you can cancel at any time and at the same time you can work with us for as long as you find there's a benefit to continue. Scott Bradley, who wrote Screaming for Pleasure, this fabulous book right here, we've been working with him since 2017 and his book launched in 2018 and we've been marketing it with him ever since, finding conventions, media, podcasts and other interesting places to feature his expertise and his book. We've also had the pleasure of working with Carol Sanford on her self published books and her books that are published by Hachette on the marketing and Todd Nyholm has completed two books with us and is doing his third now. The list of authors that we've been working with for years and years is lovely and long. The beautiful thing about a membership versus a fixed contract is we can build long term relationships with our clients and there's no end date unless you choose to make one. Beyond our membership offer, a big part of what makes us different is our focus on marketing. From day one, marketing isn't something that should be separated from the book creation process. If you want to have a book that is set up to achieve your bigger picture goals, whether that is speaking consulting, product or service sales, lead generation, impact platform growth or book sales, from day one we focus on that. We talk with you about your author branding and book positioning, we do category keyword competitive research when you're in editing, we brainstorm titles and subtitles, we look at your cover against your category, we do launch prep and planning while your book is being edited and we have a team who will write your reader magnet, build your author website, generate email content for your funnels, and when your book is in design, we start working on your book description, author bio, media kit and social media posts. So when your book is done, you and we have a strong foundation to begin your marketing. We set your book up for distribution after walking you through the choices available and the trade offs of each and and then we move into pre launch and post launch marketing where my team of book marketing professionals tackle everything from media training to media pitching, live appearance pitching, podcast bookings, book review submissions, Amazon ads, Goodreads giveaways, bookstore and library catalog submissions, and book award submissions. If you're someone who wants to keep all rights and royalties and be in full control, you want to be the CEO of your project and the director of your story and and you want the quality and most of the distribution of a traditionally published author, well, this is the best solution for you to do that. Most projects take somewhere from nine to 15 months to write, edit, design, publish and then launch from there. We always like to work on marketing for at least six months post launch to build momentum, but some authors take it on their own shortly after launch. Some people ask me about our most successful projects or the books that I love the most, and I find that question hard. It's like you're asking me to choose a favorite child. I adore all my Children, but there are some stories that I've loved watching unfold, like Kathy Joseph and her book Lightning Tamers. While she was working on her book, her YouTube channel grew at breakneck speed, gaining nearly 100,000 subscribers while she was doing her book. That was super fun. And her launch was a big success as well. Likely not surprisingly, given the fact that her channel has some big fans. It's also been an incredible experience to work with John Samuel on his book Don't Ask a Blind Guy for Directions. Not only did I gain a better understanding of the importance of accessibility in a service and in a workplace, I got to see some members of my team truly shine in their service as they sought to understand how best we can support John through his book launch and beyond. It's also fun because he involved his son on his unboxing and launch videos. You can take a quick look here.
Hey, what's up? It's John Samuel and today's a very special day. So I got my psychic Eli again because today is the release date for Don't Ask the Blind Guy for direction. It's November 1st, so what should people do? Eli, go to Amazon and you'll see the book there.
Here are a bunch of of recent releases that I'm madly in love with too. We have a whole catalog over@noboringbooks.com if you want to check out more of our work and our authors projects. If you're interested in getting our help with the project, please visit our service page on our website. From there you can click on the links to the courses coming up or complete the form to book a call to discuss your book project. If you want our done with you or done for you services. And if reading the books we publish like self published and succeed and consuming our content here is more your speed, well that's great with me too. However, I can support you to write a great book that is set up to achieve your bigger picture goals and have an impact on the world. Well, that is great with me. If you have questions about book launchers or anything else book publishing related, head on down to the comments below. And after you've posted your comment, hit that like button.
