Money, impact, opportunity. That's what a book can give you. But how do you fit writing it into your schedule? That's why I decided to host writers retreats. It's for the busy professional and entrepreneur who knows a nonfiction book will boost their business, but they're having trouble carving out the time to get it done. That's what we do.
These two days versus what I was doing at home is times 10 at least.
I've probably written more in the last two days than I've written in the past three months.
The magic in our retreat wasn't just the time away to focus or that I took people's phones away for their writing time.
No distractions, no phones, no emails, no people like needing something all the time.
It was also that we took the time to set the foundation for each person's book before they even walked into the room to write their book. They had a one hour call with our Emmy nominated writing coach to solidify their idea or get clear on what part of their book they were going to focus on during the two and a half day writer's retreat.
And helping me understand how to kind of draw everything together, the common thread and how to share that information and how to convey it in a way that would reach the reader and help them really understand what all of it had to do with them in the room.
We're going to brainstorm stories, titles, the hook concepts and marketing plans. You see, I think it's a mistake to just write a book. You're also going to have one on one time with our book marketing professional so that you know you're writing a book that you're going to be able to sell and put in the hands of your ideal readers when it's done.
Starting to think about the strategies and the things that I need to do to begin marketing my book, who I should be talking to, how I'm going to position the book, the market that I'm going to be working at. So for me that's probably been the most valuable takeaway from this.
If you're a busy entrepreneur, coach, consultant, professional, and you want to get more work done on a book in two days than you probably will get done in a year, then I would like to invite you to join us at one of our upcoming writers retreats. I went from seven words, basically the title and the concept, to a whopping $7,600.
I've written over 10,000. I'm not sure the exact number, but it's over 10,000.
Before I came here, I wrote about 11,000. As of this morning, I'm at about 24,000.
And that was in just two days. The link to find out more is below, and there's a few bonuses you'll be added to our private Facebook group where you can get support from your fellow authors and past and future retreat attendees.
What I loved most about this retreat was the camaraderie and the quality of people that it attracted. The connections that I've made and the people that I've met and the experience that we're sharing.
Lifelong friends that support each other not only for our books, but for careers, for the business we're trying to build.
Plus, every single attendee will get our proprietary spreadsheet that helps you calculate your entire self publishing project timeline right up to the launch party and the launch day. And you'll also receive a very special productivity planner to ensure you have a way to get your book done once you leave the retreat. An actual system. A program with due dates of every step along the way to not just write our book, but market it. So if you're working on a book but it's going slow or you want to start writing a book but you're finding the whole thing overwhelming, the next Book Launchers retreat is for you. If you're going to write a book, you gotta come to this retreat. I've learned a lot of writing techniques.
That I actually didn't know. You'll leave feeling encouraged and positive.
If I could retreat once a month with Julie and her team, I would.
The impossible is possible. I mean, I started from zero words and now I have almost a first breath.
Done. Do it. It. It's worth it. See you soon.
