You've written a book and now the real work begins. You need to be in front of new people sharing your content so they join your community, reach out to learn more, and of course, buy your book. So if you're looking for new content ideas to help you grow your audience and sell your book, you're in luck. Because this video is for you. Hey there. I'm Julie the Book Broad. I'm an Amazon Overall Number 1 Best Selling Author and the founder of Book Launchers, a fashion fabulous self publishing services firm. At Book Launchers, we help you write, publish and promote a nonfiction book to help you grow your brand and your business. And a big part of that involves content marketing. For many of our authors, the good news is that your book provides a tremendous volume of curated, polished and valuable content. But sometimes, even with that book sitting in front of you, you need some content ideas. So here you go. I've got five content ideas for you. Number one Answer a question. I did that with this video right here. How big should your book be? Or do big books sell in 2022? It's a question I get all the time. So I turned it into a video and then I turned that video into a post on my LinkedIn page. It will also become a blog post on the book launchers.com website as we turn 50 to 60% of our videos into blog posts on the website as well. So go ahead, write down the questions you get and create some content around the ones you get the most and post it wherever you're creating. Content idea 2 take behind the scenes pictures and share those BTS secrets or ideas. If you're recording an audiobook, shooting videos, or prepping for a speaking engagement, share some of the behind the scenes stuff of you getting ready or doing it. To be fair, I struggle with this a bit as I'm often just so focused on getting the shoot done that I forget to capture the moment a bit. But for the record, my dog is usually Nearby content idea 3 Share your perspective on the latest happenings in your industry. I do this in the Launch letter. Are you subscribed? If you're not, head on over to book launchers.com seven steps it's the number seven to download our free guide to write a book that sells and get yourself on the Launch letter. Being on the launch letter makes sure that you are always up on the latest tips, videos and things you should know in the publishing industry. Now I also share my perspective and thoughts on LinkedIn. The example here is one. I also did a video on which I'll link to at the end. But it was about Spotify's announcement that you could now buy one of 300,000 audiobooks on their app. This is potentially really exciting news for authors, so I wanted to share my thoughts on the potential and of course how to get your book listed on Spotify if you wanted to do that. So keep your eyes and ears open. What is some cool news in your industry that you can share either tips or perspective or resources about content idea 4 is there a common objection or obstacle that holds people back from achieving success in your space? For authors, I find this is often one of their monsters. I have several videos on this subject and I'll link to one at the end talking about how to handle imposter syndrome. But other monsters are fear of failure, fear of success, fear of judgment. But I also hear objections like how do I find time? What if I'm a bad writer? Nobody's buying my book, what do I do? So make a list of the things that hold people back from your service, your product, or just achieving success and create posts, articles, videos and other content to help them. And this will help you too, because they will see you, your book, your product or your service as a possible way to overcome this objection or this fear and finally achieve the result they want. Idea number five Break down somebody's success into a case study. We do this most commonly on our deep dive trainings, which we hold ten times a year. You can make sure you know about them by joining our launch letter, which I mentioned before. But in these deep dive trainings I'll bring on experts or authors who have had success and ask them how they did it. You can see one where we talked about bulk buys with Carol Sanford, presentation success with Dan Fraser, writing a great book proposal with Becca Powers, and narrating your audiobook with Odile Remert. We break down what they have done so you can follow in their footsteps. This is a great way to showcase how you help and create valuable content at the same time. By the way, if you want to check that out, you can check out our playlist on the channel called Success Secrets from Authors to view those videos. There are plenty of other content ideas of course, and I've shared in the past how you can take content from your book directly to create articles, videos, course presentations, keynote talks, and so much more. Hopefully you got a new idea from today's list. If you did, give that thumbs up button a smash. Such a little thing and it feels so good. Go ahead, try it. Okay, now I promised a video for you on Spotify getting into audiobooks. So that is right here. Also, I said I would share some content on beating your monsters into submission. Okay, it's not a violent approach at all, but that is this video right here. Both are a guaranteed good watch, so go ahead and click on over. See you again soon.
