So you're launching a nonfiction book. Amazing. But let's be real. How you launch your book makes all the difference. And whether you realize it or not, you have a launch style. The question is, which launch style is yours? If you're curious about book launches and what your launch style might be and you want to have a little fun with this subject, well, this video is absolutely for you. Hey there. I'm Julie the Book Broad, founder of Book Launchers and and today we're breaking down the four types of book launch personalities from the throw it at the wall and hope it sticks approach to the baller launch that dominates the charts. No matter where you land, I'm gonna help you figure out which one is you and how to make the most of it. Launch Type one the Hope and Pray. Also known as let's just see what happens. This launch is basically write the book, put it on Amazon and cross your fingers. Maybe you post once on Facebook, maybe you tell your dog about it and then wait. And if this is you, well, first, congrats, you finished a book. But let's level it up because hope is not a strategy. So here are some quick wins for you. Optimize your book's metadata. You need the right keywords and categories so your book actually gets found in searches. My favorite tool for doing this is Rum Roll publisher Rocket. You can use our affiliate link@booklaunchers.com Rocket you can if you want to feed my dog a biscuit. But seriously, I use that tool all the time for checking on the competition and researching keywords for authors. It's fabulous. Another thing to do is to set up your Amazon Author central. It's free and it makes you look more like a pro. Of course, you should also consider running an ebook promo, maybe a limited time discount, and promote it through some of the great services like Written Word Media, also one of our affiliates. You can check them out at book launchers.com forward/ written word and the links are down below. Of course, we use written word media for almost every single ebook promo we run for clients because they have great services to promo stack a 99 cent ebook sale. And then when you're running it, do me a favor and start telling everyone you know that you wrote a dang book. Okay, pro tip, before you do anything else, grab a copy of my book, Self Promote and Succeed. You can get a copy free@self promoteand succeed.com audio because, well, you're going to need it. All right, launch type number two. The oh no, I forgot to market Launch AKA the last minute hustle. This is the oh crap. My book is coming out next week. I should probably tell people approach you start DMing friends posting on LinkedIn, binge watching YouTube's like this one. Hi if this is you, no shame. I talk to authors all the time who are this style of launcher. And hey, take heart if you it's not too late to turn this around so here's what you need to do asap. This is your emergency launch plan. Leverage your personal network. Ask friends, family, colleagues to share your book. But don't just say buy my book. Tell them who your book is for and why it's a good book to share with others. Be smart about social media. Don't just post it and say buy my book. Share behind the scenes content reader testimonials or do a why I wrote this book post if you haven't already. Film any an unboxing of your video. And by the way, if you're an ingramspark author, tag them. They reshare. All of that. Then get your first 25Amazon reviews fast. Use platforms like Booksprout, get authentic book reviews, book sirens and start working on reviews immediately. You need reviews. Pro Tip Join our Author Business Accelerator because you need solid marketing support and that's what we do in our Author Business Accelerator. You can go to authorbusinessaccelerator.com for a one week free trial launch type number three, the Momentum Builder launch, also known as the Strategic Hustler. You know marketing matters and you're putting in the work. You've got ARC readers lined up, podcasts booked and you're out there grinding. This launch type is all about pre launch planning. You're gathering Amazon reviews, you're building an email list and you're setting up a goodreads giveaway pre launch. You've already done podcast and media outreach. You're booking interviews before launch, so buzz is already building. You've got Amazon ads and PR going. You're running ads and sending press pitches out to keep that momentum going post launch. Here's how to level it up. Use the Book Launchers team. We specialize in Momentum launch strategy book launches, helping you turn a small audience into a momentum filled launch, building your media assets, researching outlets, crafting pitches, successful submitting you for catalogs, book awards and so much more. You're also in a great position to leverage micro influencers. I mean you can go for the mega influencers too, but I love niche influencers. They can sell a lot of books because their audience is listening and when they're sharing specific content for that audience. They often just eat it up. So make connections as naturally as you can through social media or live events. Gain their trust, build relationships. Find. Think beyond the first week. Keep that grind going for at least six months with steady content and outreach running. Ebook sales, submit for book awards. All of those things can also give you new reasons to reach out to your audience. Pro Tip this kind of launch is perfect to team up with my team at Book Launchers because we do the outreach strategy and execution for you. Work smarter, not harder. All right. Launch type number four. The Baller launch. Yeah. Also known as the the power Move. This is the dream launch. You've got a big audience, major medias lined up and big name friends who will actually post about your book. What a Baller launch looks like. You drop an email to your 50,000 plus subscribers and they open it. Your book gets featured in Forbes or Entrepreneur. You're on Fox News or Good Morning America to talk about your new book. You do a live book event with VIPs in attendance. You wake up on launch day and boom. Your book is already ranking and tracking to hit all the bestseller lists. How to stay on top Run a killer pre order campaign, Exclusive bonuses, live Q&As. Hustling for three to six months prior to your book launch helps you get the big numbers for that launch. It might look like you're everywhere for a week, but the reality is you've been working hard and you've been everywhere for months and months to make that launch so big. You're also going to go hard on media, tv, podcasts, top tier blogs. This isn't just a book. It's your personal brand that you are building. You've invested big money in PR and this is where it pays off with you on TV and big media everywhere. Also looking for strategic partnerships. Team up with other experts to do joint promotions, webinars, newsletter swaps, or even other corporations. I mean your friends are known names with equally large audiences and they are helping you spread the word for months and months after launches. Your pro tip is to have at least one VA managing a lot of these details for you. A VA is a virtual assistant. You could also have a personal assistant or an executive assistant. Just have help because your calendar is going to be packed and the volume of communication you're going to be dealing with is going to be through the roof. You're going to need help managing it all. And while you're at it, make sure you are building up your newsletter while you're doing all this. It's not just about book sales. Even the best launches can use smart automation. Collecting emails, sending out email sequences, using chatbots and paid ads Just to keep that momentum going. Well, we covered four kind of book launch personalities.
