A short promotional testimonial video (YouTube) featuring Julie Broad describing Book Launchers writers retreats for busy professionals, and William Hung sharing his experience attending the retreat. Hung explains he produced about 5,000 words (a skeletal draft) for his first book, praises the focus and community the retreat provided, and Julie closes with a call-to-action to join the next retreat.
Money, impact, opportunity. That's what a book can give you. But how do you fit writing it into your schedule? That's why I decided to host writers retreats. It's for the busy professional and entrepreneur who knows a nonfiction book will boost their business, but they're having trouble carving out the time to get it done. That's what we do.
Hi, this is William Hong, and you probably know me from my failed American Idol audition. I met Julie brock at a pod fest 2018 because we were both invited to be speakers for the big podcasting conference in Orlando. We met by faith, and I'm very grateful to have to meet her in person because she's wonderful. I love book launchers. I love the idea of putting a book together because it's something I always wanted to do in my life, but I haven't taken action. She finally persuaded me to take action, and when I started working with her and her team, I made a little bit of progress, but not that much because of my life priorities. I got so much going on. It's hard, but. And then this writer's retreat is wonderful because it finally allowed me to sit down and focus on putting my book together. Now, this is the first time in my life I ever written a book, but I still managed to, like, write, like, 5,000 words. It's like a skeleton of the book. I know I have more to add, but this has been a great experience, not only because it allows me to focus on the book, but I met many wonderful people along the way, and it'll be great that we can support each other. Thank you so much.
So if you're working on a book but it's going slow or you want to start writing a book but you're finding the whole thing overwhelming, the next book Launcher's retreat is for you. See you soon.
