So I haven't crossed it out yet off my whiteboard, but this is what I did today. Plan Data Science Masters times 4 Pomodoros. That was my main task of the day. I also got a letter from Udacity saying that I graduated the Deep Learning Nanodegree. Yay! Updated my 100 Days of Code series on Medium, so I'll link that in the description. And going back to what I just said, what I did today and the Plan Data Science Masters, I'm still working on that. I've got the AI Nanodegree through Udacity is something that I'm going to be doing as well over the next 6 months. And I'm going to track it all through Trello. It's going to be like, that's going to be the main course. And then each little thing that I do outside of that is going to be, I don't know, like a sub-branch of what I'm learning. But I'll link into Trello, the Trello board that I'm tracking all my learning through. And of course, I'm going to bring you guys along with me when I'm learning about AI, what I'm learning about data science, what I'm learning about fitness and nutrition. I plan on doing more videos fitness and nutrition as well on my YouTube in the future. Once I get my camera fixed as well, I'll film some workouts, cooking videos, et cetera, et cetera. 'Cause as you may not know, that is also my background. I'm relatively new to this, the world of tech and software and coding and whatnot. But one of my passions and loves for the last 7, 8 years has been food and fitness. So, I'm trying to merge the two somehow. I haven't quite worked out how yet. Well, merge the world of tech, food, and fitness in my life anyway. I also went to an AI meetup in Brisbane. It was awesome by Max Kelsen, I believe, which is a company in Brisbane that does a whole lot of data analyzation and particularly focused on NLP, so natural language processing. Tomorrow I'm going to be working on my projects, publish a podcast, edit a video, and do some more work on my project Annie Gym. So we'll catch you then. And by the way, today was day 84 and it's the 3rd of August. Day 85 of the 100 Days of Code series, and check this out, I'm one button away from graduating. Got the vlog on the DeepFlux on the left-hand side of the monitor, doing vlog 14 at the moment. Or editing it. So let's check this out. We're about to graduate from the Deep Loading nano degree. Oh no, the famous loading wheel of death. I've earned it. Oh, what's happening? Yes, check it out. Woo! I did it! I graduated from the Deep Learning Nanodegree Foundations. Remember at the start of the course, I had— I actually emailed the supervisor asking what the chances are of backing out, like when was the refund period, because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to do it. But now we've started from the bottom, now we're here. I'm gonna move on to the AI Nanodegree after this one. Certainly it was very difficult, don't get me wrong, but I figured starting from such a low level I had the chance to learn, learn the most. That was, that was my outlook. That was my— I don't know, that was, that was what was pushing me through from the start. So I'm gonna keep learning. I'm gonna go back to video editing this video or vlog, keep filming whatever I'm learning in the future and Yeah, I just thought I'd share that moment with you, you all, and here's to what's next. What's up, y'all? Day 89 of the 100 Days of Code series. I haven't recorded for a few days, probably because I forgot or because I've been trying to rearrange all this studying that I'm doing or getting into this new study pattern. But no excuses, we're back on it. I've got 11 days left of this series, uh, and then the coding won't stop, but We'll continue going. So what have you been up to the past 2 days? Because today is Tuesday and I usually spend Sundays writing, so I'll link to what I wrote. Actually, it's on Quora, uh, in the description. But I've been learning or following my new plan of my own data science master's degree, and I've got it on Trello, uh, on a public Trello board. So if you want to follow along on what I'm learning or the courses that I'm doing, they're all there. I'll link that in the description as well. But past 2 days, yesterday was CS50 by Harvard University, one of the best computer introductory computer science courses on the internet in my opinion, and probably the most highly rated as well. And I've also been doing today and— no, a little bit today of CS50 and Intro to Data Science on Udacity. I'll link both of those in the description, but check this out. I just finished Lesson 4 of the Intro to Data Science. Well, I finished it earlier today, and so far I'm up to Data Analysis. So how long we got? About halfway, halfway through the Intro to, uh, Intro to Data Science. Plenty of notes here as well. Oh, and my screen is completely orange because it is— what do we got? 8:54 PM at night, and Flux— where is it— is in full, full swing. So why did I choose CS50 and Intro to Data Science? Well, as you may or may not know, I graduated like last week from the Udacity Deep Learning Nanodegree. And I've been wanting to learn more about AI. And so I've applied to be accepted into the AI, Artificial Intelligence Nanodegree from Udacity. And apparently I'm supposed to get guaranteed entry because I finished the Deep Learning Foundations course. But we'll see. That gets announced on August 22nd, and it is the 8th today. So the AI Nanodegree is one of the more advanced Nanodegrees available in Udacity. So because I really didn't know much coding before the Deep Learning Foundations, I've been going back to basics and trying to get a deeper understanding of data science as a whole and computer science. And I'm also going to be doing soon DataCamp, I believe, for Python and data science to, to really lift my Python skills up to the next level. But I know that I figured the best way to improve in something is to sort of try it yourself. So I'm trying to think in my head of pro— of projects I can work on using Python and data science, whatnot. And I don't know, maybe there's some problems I can find on the internet and sort of use that dataset and practice on my own because I think that's the best way to learn. And so if I build anything cool, I'll let you know. But for now, I'm gonna go, what am I gonna do? I'm gonna write, I'm gonna update my 100 Days series on Medium. That'll be in the description as well. And then I'm gonna go read a book on statistics and fall asleep. Truly though. Been learning about data structures in week 5 of CS50. It is day 90 of the 100 Days of Code series. You like my hat? It's a bit cold here today, actually, in, where am I? Brisbane, Brisbane, Australia. It's about 2:18 PM. I just finished lecture, well, week 5 lectures. I've got the short videos to go of CS50 and learning a whole bunch about data structures. So we got decision trees or binary decision trees. Last in, first out, LIFO, queue, recursion. Recursion's pretty cool actually. Recursion involves a function using itself to run. I can't give you an example because I don't know one off the top of my head, but it makes a really beautiful code. Also, I attended a Q&A this morning of the Udacity artificial intelligence nano degree. That was a live YouTube video and on Slack. Oh, there was a robotics Nanodegree and the self-driving car Nanodegree as well. And I got good news. I've been— I get automatic, well, guaranteed admission to the AI Nanodegree, which I'm going to apply to. I'll show you when I apply as well. So I'm excited for that. It actually starts on my birthday. So 1st of September, 2017. You better remember, get me a present. Nah, I'm kidding. Just like and subscribe. That's the best present ever. But yeah, so that's going to be my learning done for today, learning CS50. Tomorrow I'm going to get back into the Intro to Data Science on Udacity and then kind of switch it up, keep doing those two until the start date of the AI Nanodegree, which will be my main focus from there. And then once I'm into that, I'll be branching out and learning different things on the fly as I need to. So I'm gonna go give blood and, uh, I need to eat some food before that, so we'll catch you tomorrow. What's up, y'all? Day 91. How you doing? So today I've been working on the Intro to Data Science, uh, course on Udacity, as well as finishing off Week 5 of CS50. Trying to really get through them all before, uh, the start date of the AI Nanodegree, which I'm about to show you something here. I just referred— oh, received an email so I can choose my next program because I graduated from the Deep Learning Nanodegree Foundation. So let's go through and see what's going on. Oh, check it out! So because I graduated from the Deep Learning Foundation Nanodegree, I get a discount on signing up to the one of the 3 advanced ones. So I can choose from Robotics, artificial intelligence or self-driving car Nanodegree, of which one to get a discount and guaranteed enrollment. And as discussed before in previous videos and previous clips, I'm gonna choose the artificial intelligence Nanodegree. And guess what? The start date happens to be my birthday. So it's gonna be $600 US, which is about, let me just find out, $753 Australian dollars for 2 terms. So, well, I think it's per term, so $750 for 3 months. So it's $250 a month. So what's that, about $60 a week for this, for this course that I'm doing? $60 Australian dollars per week. So I'm going to enroll, and this might be some sort of payment gateway. Look at this Australian internet. We're gonna make it. I'm nearly getting NBN 2. All right, so while this is loading, I'll finish out all the details and see what it says once I finished enrollment. So check it out, it's official. Artificial Intelligence Program syllabus. So let's see what we've got. So part 1, Foundations of AI. Part 2, Deep Learning and Applications. Part 3, Computer Vision. Now I think I get to choose one of these as a specialization. So Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Voice User Interfaces. I think I'm going to choose this one, uh, once I've finished Part 1 and Part 2, and then I'm going to go into Natural Language Processing. But of course that may change. So let's try it. Let's try going into one of these, see what happens. Ah, check it out. So part 1, Foundations of AI, 21 days, 8 hours left. So what do we got? That'll be about the 1st of September. So I've got a bit of, bit of time to learn, maybe 21 days. Yeah, so about 3 weeks, 3 weeks to get through. I want to get through at least CS50 and the Intro to Data Science course, as well as potentially there's a new course launched by Andrew Ng which is the machine learning course that I did. He's, he was a coordinator of that course, available at deeplearning.ai. So I'll link that in the description as well. But check it out. deeplearning.ai, build your career in AI, take our new deep learning courses on Coursera. And I've got here. So created by deeplearning.ai, taught by Andrew Ng. And now this is, who is this class for? About this course, if you want to break into cutting-edge AI, yes, I do. So I'm thinking about doing this one alongside, um, what I'm going to be doing on Udacity. Just to really cement my, I don't know, my idea of deep learning, AI, data science, machine learning, all that sort of stuff, all that good stuff, all that fun stuff. Um, but I think that's it for learning for today. So I'll keep the Trello board updated with the courses I'm doing anyway, so check that out in the description. And I'll bring you along for what I'm learning in AI. I'm gonna, I'm gonna do a blog post as well in the future about sort of my, my self-created data science masters and why I'm doing it and which programs I'm doing and why and whatnot and sort of what my goals are to do with all this knowledge that I'm getting. I don't just want to learn it for the hell of learning it. Not that that's, that's pretty fun anyway, but I want to build some things in the future. So we'll see in the next clip.
