You have here, Nippy?
What do you have here?
Show me. Oh, Xbox One S. Are we the first to get it? Australia?
Not sure.
Don't tell me it comes with Gears of War.
No.
Look at that, 4K. We're gonna unbox this thing. What do we got here? 2 terabyte, 4K video streaming, play select Xbox 360 games. Does it come with a mic?
I'm not sure.
Let's do this. Do you want some desk space? Original Xbox One. Original Xbox One controller. Okay, let's get it open. Instruction manual. We don't need that.
Oh, HDMI.
That's a nice HDMI cable.
And the power cable.
No power brick though. No, because it's built in. Oh, put that next to the original one.
Button press button.
Press button.
Button's on the inside.
So this button is protruding. This one looks like it's flush. Kind of like a— the home button on an iPhone. Ah, it's got a built-in auxiliary cable, 3.5mm jack. What about— does it still take batteries?
Yeah, it's got a little bit of grip, it's textured grip.
You can't see it, but it's got textured grip on the, on the handles. Still takes batteries though. Wait, what's that?
This one?
Oh, that's the same.
This controller's also got Bluetooth and it feels a bit lighter.
Is it lighter?
Yeah, it's got Bluetooth and extended range.
What's the extended range?
I'm not sure. So like the What, like the wireless connection is extended?
Is it Bluetooth?
It's not Bluetooth, so you can connect to, uh, computers and other devices.
That's epic. Let's get the bad boy out. What's that? The stand?
Kickstand, yeah.
I'll move this out of the way. Oh wow, looks like a textbook. Okay, that's smaller than I thought it'd be. Wow, it looks flush too. Real clean. What's the back look like? Good, no USB port on the side. Oh wait, does it? So what do we have here? Power connection, HDMI out, HDMI in, USB 1 and 2, infrared out, Ethernet, don't really know what that one is. Regulatory. Xbox One S. What about the sides? Nothing on the side. Is that a power button as well?
Yeah, it's actually a button instead of a touchscreen like this one. This one's just a touch, no button.
That was a bit annoying sometimes. Press it again, get the sound.
The sync button is here instead of on the side. No USB port on the side, but USB on the front.
Ah, that's better. USB on the front.
This Xbox—
And what's the difference between these two buttons? Oh, that's eject, is it? Eject.
Sync.
Sync. And this is the IR blaster.
IR blaster.
So what it does is you can connect different monitors and shit to it. So once you turn the Xbox on and turn everything else on that's connected to it.
Ah, that's good. And so what are the main differences in hardware?
Better CPU and GPU, so you get better frame rates.
Is that for the 4K games?
Yeah, so 4K games or high-resolution games that are coming out, Gears, Forza.
2TB hard drive, got some games to come. What's it look like? Let's put it on the stand.
Oh, got the instructions.
Okay, okay, you just slide it on. Oh, that's cool. How heavy is it compared to the other one?
Oh, it's pretty light.
But then also this one's got the power cable inbuilt, the power brick.
I think that's cool, the circle vent. What games are you going to play on this?
Overwatch.
Are you going to stand it up or leave it flat?
Probably leave it flat.
I'll be back in a second. I want to compare it to the size of one of my textbooks. It's literally practically the same size as a biology textbook. They've done very well. Well done, Microsoft. Has Sony got a new console? Nope. Lay it down and take the stand off.
Now this is the tricky part. See how easy the stand comes off.
Yeah, let's get it off.
Without breaking it, preferably.
Seemed easy enough. He's still got a spinning hard drive though, that'll slow it down. Look at this. Side-by-side comparison.
And then— twist!
You literally can't see it. That's epic. Oh yeah, move it more into the desk. I think that's about it. We covered it. Alright, this has been Xbox One S unboxing. Check back for more later.
