This is a YouTube video titled "Stop Letting Cash Sleep: Inflation — The Silent Tax on Your Wealth" (created 2025-09-23). It features a short dialogue between two speakers (labeled SPEAKER A and Nolan) discussing inflation as a “silent tax” that erodes purchasing power if cash earns little or no return. The speakers explain the problem with holding dormant savings and recommend income securities as a way to fight inflation, noting yields in the 7–10% range and that many options are tax-advantaged. The excerpt is a promotional/educational discussion aimed at savers and investors about preserving wealth.

So we all know about taxes that we pay to the government, Nolan. Nobody likes that, but that's something that's explicit that we've got to do every year. But there's a silent tax out there and it's called inflation. So the reason I say that is if I keep my money in a place where it's earning no return and there's 3% inflation over 10 years, you know, I'm going to lose so much of my purchasing power, almost 50% of my purchasing power under that condition. So tell me, how do you think income securities are a way to fight back against that silent tax?
It sounds like you were describing all those millions of savers with money just lying dormant at the bank.
Afraid so.
If we have inflation at the front door at 3% or something, that just means things are going up at a 3% clip every year. So, you know, I pay something that cost me $100 this year. Next year it's going to be $103. Sounds like my grocery bill, except for it sounds like it went up higher. A little bit more. Yeah. So I have $100 at the bank. Yeah. At the end of next year, it needs to be $103, you know, to keep up with the grocery bill that went up. Except in today's market, that $100 is $100.15 or something. It's not adding up quickly. So that is a silent tax. It's not so silent. It's actually pretty loud. And investors need to do something about it. We think income securities is a way to fight back. We're getting yields on income securities 7 to 10%. And a lot of them are tax advantaged. So income securities are a way to fight back, take control, get some return on your cash. You worked hard for your money, make your money work just as hard for you. Don't let that silent tax eat up your money.
