Five ways to Maximize your end Sales the essence of a successful business is really quite simple. It's your ability to offer a product or service that people will pay for at a price sufficiently above your costs, ideally three or four or five times your cost, thereby giving you a profit that enables you to buy and to offer more products and services. Brian Tracy if you're looking for ways to increase your yearly sales numbers, you have a few options. Most people think you can only either increase the price of your product or service which increases the value of each sale, or sell more of your product or service which increases the volume of sales. However, there are a few more strategies that could help your bottom line, especially as you look to close out the year on a high note. Here are five ways to maximize your end of year sales Clean up your pipeline the first step to maximizing year end sales is to clean up your sales pipeline. This will allow you to put your offer in front of the right people, the ones who are more likely to purchase. Over the year you have built up a long list of leads, a lot of which bound to have gone cold. Reach out to them again and try to re engage. If they respond, ask if they've solved their original problems or have new ones that you can help solve with your product or service. Next, remove leads who have not responded after multiple attempts or have expressed that they are not interested. Do not waste your time and effort on the people who will not buy from you and focus instead on the ones who will. Do not forget to follow up with current customers too and see if they need anything in addition to what they have already purchased, including upgrades, extra products or enhanced services. They may have other problems that you can help solve and if they have purchased from you before, they'll be more likely to purchase from you again. Run end of year promotions. Once you have cleaned up your pipeline, you can then look at running end of year promotions. Many people are conditioned to make their big purchases during the end of year holidays when special promotions are offered such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday. You can use these to your advantage as well to drum up interest and offer some of your products or services as part of these types of promotions. While the value per sale may be smaller, the volume of sales can often more than make up for the promotional price discount while also bringing in new customers that may purchase other products or services you have on offer at your regular prices. Celebrate your sales team. Without your sales team, your success would be limited. A well oiled sales team is a powerful force that can increase your top and bottom lines. Take the time to celebrate them and show them appreciation for all the hard work they do. This is even more important at the end of the year, which is a stressful time. A sales team that feels appreciated is more likely to put in extra effort and work more diligently to close more sales. Try something new and something old. While the end of the year is a great way for you to run a sales campaign you've run before that you know is a surefire win, it can also be a great time to try something new to surprise and delight your leads and prospects. By using a novel offer, you may capture attention and entice new potential customers to purchase and help you increase your end of year sales. Plus, if it's a success, you'll know you have something you can use next year. Invest in yourself and your business. You can never go wrong if you invest in yourself and your business. Realize that your sales will not grow until you and your sales strategies also grow. Take action to improve your own experience and knowledge base in effective sales and selling. Attend sales training or work with a sales coach to get objective guidance on your skills and abilities to improve them. Be open to reworking your own prospecting or sales strategies after careful analysis and reflection to see what has been working and what has not and how you can improve by investing in yourself. This way, you'll make greater returns on your investment by closing more sales which will pay for your initial sales training and coaching investment many times over. If you're ready to end your sales year on a strong note, make sure you focus on these five steps. By following them, you can close out your yearly sales cycle and start your new year on a high note.
