7 Ways yous Morning Routine Is Killing youg Productivity Successful people are simply those with successful habits. Brian Tracy the way you begin each morning has a major impact on the rest of your day. While many morning routines can positively impact your motivation and productivity, other morning habits can drain your productivity. If you would like to start out each morning on the right foot, here are seven productivity killing morning habits that that you should avoid First, Stop hitting the snooze button. If you wait until the last possible moment to roll out of bed and get ready for work, you are wasting away the most valuable hours of your day. Rather than hitting the snooze button over and over again, set your alarm early and use the morning hours to accomplish important tasks. Relax your mind and prepare for the day ahead. Simply going to bed a little earlier each night will enable you to get the same amount of sleep without spending the morning hours you have available mashing the snooze but time after time. Next, avoid checking your email right away. The early morning hours are a period of transition as you go from sleep to wakefulness to preparing yourself to start your workday. If you jump right into work by checking emails the moment that you wake up, you aren't giving your mind the chance to make the transition from rest to work in a way that is most beneficial. Rather than transitioning straight from sleep to work, use the hours when you first wake up to do things such as read or meditate, exercise or perform other activities that will help put you in a positive, motivated state of mind. Your emails will still be there waiting for you once this important transition period is complete. Next, don't forget to exercise in the morning. Exercising is something that offers a ton of mental and physical benefits no matter what time of day you exercise. Stretches and exercises that are completed in the early morning, though, are especially beneficial. Taking the time to stretch and or work out each morning gets the blood flowing to both the brain and the body, shaking out sleepiness that might be lingering and revving you up to take on the day. If there is one routine that you can add to your morning ritual, a stretching or workout routine is likely to be your most advantageous choice. In addition, you need to stop leaving your bed unmade each morning. Before you leave work, take the time to make your bed. This may seem like a rather simple and unimportant task, but it offers a couple of significant benefits. For one, making your bed each morning means that you start each and every day with at least one productive task. Making your bed each morning also means that you'll have a pristine, comfortable bed to return to each night after your work is complete. Next, make sure you're not skipping breakfast. Breakfast is by far the most important meal of the day, providing both your mind and your body with the fuel needed for you to do your best work as you go about the day. Unfortunately, though, far too many people are in the habit of skipping breakfast altogether. If you are starting your workday on an empty stomach, you aren't giving yourself a fair shot at being your most productive. Eat a healthy breakfast each morning and you are sure to notice a difference in little time at all. Number six don't underestimate the power of meditation. If you are looking for a way to clear your mind of stress and worry and adopt mindsets that will allow you to be your most productive, meditation may very well be the solution that you've been searching for. When practiced properly, meditation can have a powerful impact on many areas of your life, including your productivity at work, and there is no better time to meditate than the early morning hours. Make meditation a part of your morning routine and eventually you will be able to use meditation to start each day with a mindset that will lend itself to productivity and success. And finally, don't waste your time. Your morning Commute if your drive to work each morning feels like wasted time, you probably aren't spending it correctly. Listening to an educational podcast or an audiobook is a great way to ensure that the time you spend on your morning commute doesn't go to waste. Of course, you can't control how long it takes for you to get to work each morning, so you might as well take advantage of those hours by using them to learn rather than let them go to waste each day Now. We'd love to hear from you. So so our question today is how does your morning routine increase your productivity? Leave a comment below and Brian will be sure to follow up with you.
