This is a recorded conversation (Jan 21, 2023) between Grant Cardone, Brian Tracy, and Eric promoting Grant's "Unbreakable" five-day business challenge. They discuss preparing households and businesses for a projected large recession, rethinking conventional personal-finance rules, and practical daily themes of the challenge (setting high income targets, marketing/branding, quick monetization, and scaling). The clip includes specific logistical details (start date, session topics, length) and multiple numeric claims about incomes, company performance, and macroeconomic figures.

You're one of the. You're one of my great inspirations, by the way.
You.
I don't know if you know this. I. I probably hinted at it a couple of times when I've seen you, but. But when I was. I hadn't made it yet.
Right.
I didn't have a. A national name yet, and you were someone that I held in such esteem and was like, okay, I know I can, like, I just need. This is a guy that's helping a lot of people. It inspired me that you were out being a leader amongst the people, helping the people, not too good for the people, and just a massive inspiration to me, Brian.
Well, I'll tell you, it's. It's exactly the same with me. You're.
You.
You are an inspiration to me. The. I remember the first time I heard you speak was in Fort Lauderdale in the National Speakers association, and you gave a talk. I don't know if you remember that. You've given some talk since then, but I said, this. This. This guy is a. An extraordinary person. I saw at that time that you had incredible abilities and accomplishments, and I've been an admirer and a fan of yours ever since that time. So I'm very happy to be with you.
Yeah. Well, thank you. It's mutual. And to hear a guy like you say, you know, one that, you know what it takes, the work, the amount of work. Like, people see me today and they're like, oh, my God, man, it was so easy for you. But you know what I went through to get here.
And so. And Eric and I. Eric has the same sort of philosophy. He's a hard, hard worker. He never stops. And so the three of us together, we really think and believe in our hearts the same things. There's no limit to how much work you can do. We look at time as, how much more can we get done, how much longer can we work? Because we love our work.
Yeah. And Brian, that's a great segue into. We're all excited, I think, for our audience, what we're doing with Grant, what Grant's been putting together and the Unbreak Challenge and really heading into 2023 and how it's just such a perfect match for audience. So I want to get into that a little bit and talk about that. So, Grant, you want to talk a little bit about what's coming up next week?
Next week I'm doing. We actually planned this since February of last year. When I saw that we were going into a recession, I was one of the first people say hey, dude, I'm 100% confident that we're in a recession. This is February 2022. Bank of America was denying it. Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, the entire list of Wall street, you know, was, was saying, no, we're going to be fine. In March of last year. Most people don't know this, Brian. You probably know it. BlackRock wrote off $1.6 trillion in losses. It's the single biggest loss in the history of the world. It went completely like, like you can't, you can't find it unless you're searching for that data. You can't find it. And I knew then I said, oh, we're in a recession. They already know it. They're already recalibrating. So here we are, fast forward 2023. Now more and more people are saying, yes, it's going to happen. We're in one, possibly, blah, blah, blah. But we're coming into probably what I believe in our lifetime, Brian, you and I. This will be the biggest recession of our lifetime.
You reckon?
Bigger than 2008. And it's because it's an institutional level this time. It's not a bunch of people that took mortgages out on homes. That's not where the problem is. The problem this time is with the biggest players in the world. So what I was saying was like, hey, so we started planning this, Eric, I think I talked to you about it back in June and, and here we are now. We called it unbreakable because we want to put people and their households in a position where they're unbreakable.
Yes.
And the thing about unbreakable is this, okay? You cannot be unbreakable without money. This money topic, sometimes people skirt around and they don't talk about it. But I've become famous and infamous for telling people you need more money. You know, Brian, you've written, I don't know, 90 books or something, right? Most people can't do that to get to know an audience today. It's what you had to do 20 years ago to get an audience today. You know, we can do this.
Yes.
This is the new book reading of the 21st century. For good or for bad.
Yes.
So next week we're going to do five 90 minute classes on really getting people to think about how they can get themselves and their family in the top 1% of earners on the.
And what you teach and preach is true. And I, and I'm. All of us are fanatics about truth. Always tell the truth. And so, so now you've got a great reputation so one thing I was.
Going to say, Brian and Grant, is I know coming up, you talked earlier about the recession, Grant. I know, Brian. Our, our followers and audience are just avid about taking action. That's one thing that's great is our is. And that's something you teach. Brian. Let's take action. So, Grant, you know, maybe you guys both talk a little bit about the upcoming challenge you're doing, which I love. One of the topics is really how to thrive during challenges in the recession. Some of the things you're going to be teaching because I think it's so important. Everybody that's following you, Brian, all of our subs, they really need to get involved in this because it's some really good stuff. What I heard Grant talking about this a few months ago, but Grant, you want to talk a little about what?
Yeah, like if you guys agree with my statement about, you know, sometimes the truth is not. Is a painful pill to take. And as much as the truth might hurt, we are going. We have $13 trillion worth of debt in this country that was taken on in the last two years.
Oh, wow.
This is more. This is more debt than. Than his. Like, we printed almost 80% of all the US dollars in circulation.
Yeah.
Happened in the last 36 months. Now you're like, okay, well, what does that mean? It means you should have got a pay raise. If you didn't get a pay raise, you did not get a part of the print, which means your hustle's off. Inflation. Warren Buffett says inflation is. It's, it's a, it's the most misunderstood concept in the world. And most people, when they hear the word inflation, they get scared. But the truth is, your assets should have gone up in value. The things that you own should have gone up in value. If you have wealth already, you should embrace inflation. If you don't have wealth, then you have to be like, okay, I got to start getting some assets because they benefit from inflation.
Yes.
And you don't need money to buy assets, but you do need a strategy and you need a commitment, a target.
Yeah.
So like my little company this year, last year, we did $145 million in Internet sales in a 12 month period.
Wow.
Like, I don't even have an inventory. I don't have inventories. Like, like, I built this out of recessions to become unbreakable because I've been broke so many times that I'm like, I don't want to keep getting going backwards, you know, Like, I can't keep going back because I got to figure out what. There's something I don't know and don't understand. So I had like, I had 401ks IRAs, I had a house paid for. I got rid of all that in 2008, sold the house, converted the money out of the house and my IRA accounts to start making investments. And I quit playing by the house rules, Brian, that you and I were brought up on. Save your money, 90 day reserves, buy house, pay it off. I'm like, no, I'm investing all this money in me. I'm going to invest it in our customers and I'm invested in my expansion. And so I would just tell everybody right here, Eric, based on your question, you guys need to reassess what's an asset and what's a liability right now.
Right.
Okay. And, and because the game is changing radically in a way, you have time to, you have time to re. You got to re. Really challenge everything you've been told by Wall street and by your education and by your friends and family.
Yes.
Because a house is not going to make you money. It's never going to make you money. Houses are not built to make money. And saving money in a bank helps the bank, but it doesn't help you. And Saving money in IRAs and 401ks helps Wall street, but it doesn't help you notice who's getting wealthier. The banks in Wall street. Not individuals.
That's right. Now, what are we going to talk about now to help people attend your program and change their thinking about money.
So the first thing is people got to be aware that like, what you've been taught might be part of your trap. Like, you got to unwash some of that. Right. You got to get rid of some of, like, Brian, somebody comes to you and they want to add information on top of bad information that your information gets bad. And then they don't do anything with it because they got conflicting data. They're like, okay, you know, Grant said do this, Brian said do that. I don't know what to do. So I'm not going to do anything. My daddy told me to do this. Grant said to do that, I do nothing. That's why people do nothing. Now, your audience, Eric, as you spoke, is an action taking audience. Okay, day one of this event, first thing I'm going to do is reset targets for everybody. I'm going to help you guys start thinking about being in the top 1%.
Yes.
Okay, that's $876,000 a year. That's the new number to be in the top 1%.
That's what.1 of the reasons why Eric and I like you as much as we do is because you tell the truth. Well, I. One of the things that I teach in my 10 times formula that I teach, I say everybody in the top 10% started in the bottom 10%.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
And then they made a decision to get into the top 10%.
Yes.
And they began doing certain things in a certain way until they got there.
And for everybody watching right now, if you don't want to finish watching this, but there's gonna be such some more conversation, go to. Go to brianandgrant.com we made a special little URL brianandgrant.com and just sign up for the Unbreakable challenge because it's coming up next week. We're talking Tuesday, January 24th. Day one is the plan. And the day two, Grant, we talk about marketing, right? You're getting ready marketing on Wednesday the 25th, is that correct?
Yes. And this goes back to the, the first thing, the 876 number. I know that's a massive number for a lot of people. They're like, oh, my God, it's $100 an hour. It's all it is. If you learned how to make $100 an hour, that means what? You're like, man, Grant, I can't. I can't work 100 a 24 hour. That means you need to automate. There has to be an automation of some systems. This did not exist 20 years ago. Even 10 years ago, you could not do these type of things.
Yes.
So, so, you know, we go to school. What happens is we go to school and people teach us a skill, but we don't ever go to school. There's no class on how do you become a top 1 percenter.
Right.
How do you become an accredited investor? How do you create wealth for your family? How do you create wealth freedom for your family? There's no schools on that. There's no classes. So day one is about, we got to set the right target. Otherwise, in 90 minutes, guys, I'm telling you, I'll blow up. Your audience is going to lose their mind on. Oh, wow, I was thinking too small. Day two is how do I get people to know who I am? How do you become a national name? Right. It's. It's branding. So we're going to be talking about how to market today using Facebook, Instagram. I didn't, I didn't have any followers on YouTube or Instagram when I was 52 years old. None. Zero. Now I got 16 million.
Wow.
So it's.
How do you build that audience? Okay, we raised. I don't know if you know this, we raised $1 billion, Brian, in three years for our real estate holdings through our social media following. And my budget last year was 14 grand in advertising. Yeah, anybody can do this. Like, everybody's got something they're good at. So that's day two. Day three is how do I monetize it fast so that I can start paying for people and operations and services. Day four is about how do I scale it from 10,000 to 100,000 to a million? How do I start scaling it so I'm not having to work in my business every second of every day? It's going to be great. Somebody told me this morning, I just texted to Eric. I said, guy says, you know, grant, money isn't everything. I said, yeah, but it buys everything by everything. Everything. And particularly with this time of inflation, I see so many people tapping out and like, okay, I'm just going to take whatever's left over. I'm going to trust the bank's going to pay me. I'm going to trust my money. I mean, the s and P500 is down 20%. The Nasdaq's down 30%. People's home values are going down. Right now. You're going to have layoffs. This is happening, ladies and gentlemen. And the way to counter that is when the tide's going out, you got to swim harder or you got to find that place where. You got to find that place. You got to find that thing that you can rest up on so that you can get to that next place. And so I'm really looking forward. I know your audience is well educated, very, very willing. Your audience. You know, I just know a little bit about your demographic because we study you, Brian Tracy, and your audience is intelligent, sophisticated, and wants to do well in life. So I'm looking forward to them spending five days, 450 minutes next week is all it takes to map out 2023.
Yeah. And, Grant, what's cool is, is a couple things I want to say is, first, your audience is actually very. About half international, too. So for everybody overseas, too, this applies to everybody. There's such great opportunity, and the timing couldn't be better. Brian and I were talking earlier about how we're so excited that you're bringing this to our audience and how it's such perfect timing with all the things you talked about. And so it just couldn't be a better time. And So I think everybody who's watching and listening, I mean you all know how to take action. This is a no brainer. We're fortunate and blessed to have somebody like Grant who's spending so much time and energy trying to bring all the successes he learned and obviously it's a lot of stuff he learned from Brian and everybody else. He studied the action he's taken. And so, you know, please go to Brian and Grant.com it's Brian and Grant.com made it real simple for everybody. And, and this is not something you want to wait on because we're starting next week. And I should say next week I'm going to give you a date. January 21st. Fourth is when it starts Tuesday, January 24th. So you want to get registered before then and let's get going on that. I know both of you guys have extremely busy schedules. Any final words of wisdom you want to.
I'm hoping that your audience, when they come in next week that they're gifted with, if they come looking for that one little thing maybe over the 450 minutes over five days that, that they find that makes them a best selling author or a coach or whatever it is they want to be that gets them to be able to have the story that you have. That one book sold 3 million copies and is in 50 plus languages. I look forward to creating on this with you next week. It's a power flow to you. You doing this to your audience is a power flow back to me. And I know that your audience is going to feel our intention to serve and to help and to be a resource.
Well, thank you Brian and thank you so much, Grant for coming with us today. Really appreciate you and learn from you. Every time I listen to you and I think everybody else is going to get that opportunity. So that's very kind of you and we're looking forward to this.
Okay, Great grass. Thank you, Brian, Eric, thank you guys so much. Happy New Year. Look forward to seeing you guys next week.
Thank you, Eric.
All right, thank you so much. All right, have a good one, guys.
