Hello, my name is Brian Tracy. I get a lot of questions from my friends on social media and I've decided to answer some of them as we go along. Here's a question we received recently.
I've been thinking about my tendency of sticking to my comfort zone and how it makes it very difficult to achieve any change in my life. I've concluded that procrastination and laziness are not about how difficult the task is, it's about how committed you are. Can you shed some light on this a little bit more?
The Success in Overcoming Procrastination Developing a New Habit Achieving anything starts with intense burning desire. It means that you really want it, and you want it very badly because you feel that it can help you improve many areas of your life. Remember, all human acts are aimed at improvement of some kind. You can't develop a habit if you can't link it to some improvement that will take place as a result. So pick something and ask yourself this question. What? One habit, if I developed it and locked it in, would have a great positive effect on my life. Whatever it is, just practice one habit for 30 days, every single day. Write it down as one of your actions for the day on your to do list. Practice this habit, but be sure you pick a habit that will lead you to something that you really care about. That is always the key to motivation. You cannot motivate yourself unless you want the benefits of the habit or anything else. I hope that answer was helpful to you, and if it was, be sure to take action and take action now.
