Brian Tracy shares a three-step formula that he says eliminated his jet lag. Drink about a quart of water per hour on flights. When you land, take a hot bath for five minutes per time zone crossed, cool down for an hour, then nap 15 to 30 minutes. After that, follow the local sleep schedule.

I travel to Europe, Asia, Australia, sometimes the Middle east, even Africa on a regular basis, two, three, four, five times a year. Sometimes I'll go to Asia twice in a month, if you can imagine that. And people will say, how do you deal with the jet lag? Jet lag kills me. I'm shattered with the jet lag. So I put together a formula many years ago so that I would never have jet lag and I never had jet lag again. By the way, this formula is on my website and it's free. It's called Brian's Jet Lag Formula. You can go there, go to free newsletters, download it, and you'll never have jet lag again. I've had top people like Stephen Covey tell me that it was a miracle, it changed their lives to have this formula. But I'll tell you what it consists of. First of all, drink a lot of water when you fly, drink a lot of water. Drink about a quart an hour while you're in the air. You'll swell up like a little jelly bean if you like, but within one day after arriving, all the water will fall off. That's number one. Number two is when you get to your destination, go and take a hot bath. And you take five minutes of hot bath for every one hour of time change. If you don't, it takes you one day of adjustment per hour of time change. But if you take five minutes of the hottest bath or Jacuzzi that you can for every one hour of time change after the hot water, you'll get out. It'll take you about an hour to cool down and then you just take a nap, maybe 15, 20 minutes, half an hour and get up. And you're now on new time zone. Go to bed at the regular time, you'll get up at the regular time and you'll have no jet lag. And there's some other things that you can do as well, but people have told me it's transformed their life. I arrive in Europe on Monday and I do my little jet lag formula on Monday night. And I speak on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. And sometimes I'm in a different country every day and all day long and zero jet lag. And you can do the same.
