Brian Tracy provides a first-person update on his cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. He reports undergoing chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation, followed by lifestyle changes (diet, exercise, rest), and notes that two weeks after finishing radiation — on August 14, 2010 — he spoke to 600 people in Singapore. He says he has since been speaking globally, has written two books, and produced six new audio programs; he emphasizes that cancer is not a death sentence when treated early and properly.

Hello, my friends. As you know, I had cancer last year, which was a real shocker. But I followed the recommendations of my doctors. I took all the chemotherapy and the surgery and the radiation, which is no fun, I can tell you. And it worked. And what I found, by the way, is that more and more people are surviving cancer. I run into people all the time who've had cancer, actually even two or three times, and they're doing fine, and so am I. I'm in great health. They told me I would be speaking within two weeks after I finished my radiation, which burned out my throat, so I couldn't speak at all, which delighted my wife because for two solid weeks she could speak and I couldn't answer. She said those were the good old days. And ever since then, I've eaten the right foods, I exercise and walk on a regular basis, I get lots of rest and I take good care of myself. So two weeks after I finished my treatment, August 14, 2010, you don't forget. It's like getting out of prison. I was speaking in Singapore to 600 people, and I've been speaking and traveling ever since. I've spoken all over Asia, I've spoken all over Europe, I've spoken all over the United States and Canada. I've written two books and I've produced six brand new audio programs which will be coming out in the next little while. So cancer is not a death sentence. If you get good treatment and you get it early enough and you take the advice of your doctors and you do what they tell you to do, their success rate is getting better and better, and it worked about 100% for me.
