In this introductory video, Brian Walch explains that while the series will be posted on LinkedIn as a professional endeavor, he aims to present his whole self by sharing personal background. He was born, raised, and still lives in Anchorage, Alaska, in the same house he grew up in. He has been married for 27 years to his wife Amanda and describes himself as a romantic hoping to stay married for life. He has four children: 21‑year‑old biological twin sons and 19‑year‑old adopted “artificial twins” (two daughters) who share twin‑like traits despite not being biologically related. He also mentions a dog and three cats that bring joy to his family. He concludes by promising a future video about his professional background.

I'm primarily going to be publishing these videos on LinkedIn, which is a professional site, and this is primarily a professional endeavor. But my personal brand and my philosophy is to live life integrated, to bring the whole self. And so I thought I'd start off by just sharing a little bit about me from a personal level. I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. It's where I live now. I love Alaska. I, ironically, actually live in the house that I was raised in. I have four kids and I'm married. I've been married for 27 years to a wonderful woman named Amanda. I would consider myself a bit of a romantic. My goal is to stay married to her for the rest of my life. My children, I have twin boys that are biological twins. They're 21 years old. And then I have two girls that are 19. So they're the same age, but they're not biologically related. We call them artificial twins. And there's actually a phenomena about people that are adopted the same age, even though they're not biologically related, taking on some of the same attributes of biological twins. So it was definitely fun raising our kids. So My girls are 19 years old. I have a dog and three cats, which I think is probably wavering on the excessive side of cats, but. But our animals bring us a lot of joy and happiness, and so we have them. That's it for now. We'll see you next time where I'll tell you a little bit about my professional background. Thanks.
