Project Plan - System

Two speakers explain the fifth element of a personal-development project plan: the system. This means the concrete mechanisms that enable progress, like books and courses, habits and routines, accountability structures like coaches or groups, and tools that track your goals.
Chapters
You have dreams and desires that you want to see realized. You want to improve so that you can achieve more. That's what personal development is about.
And I've been talking about the idea of bringing project thinking into your personal development initiative. One of the ways that you can
do that is by creating a project plan.
And there's five elements I include in
a project plan for personal development.
We've covered the first four, which are scope, time frame, aspirations, and resources. So the fifth is how you're going
to move forward and how you're going to make progress on those goals and aspirations. I call that your system.
Your system is going to include things like material from books or courses or
programs that you have found useful or
think will be useful in achieving your goals. Will also include things like habits and
routines that you either are currently doing
or or that you need to install. You may also include a coach or a group for accountability, some sort of accountability process that could be, like I
said, a coach or a group.
And then it may also include actual systems like applications or programmed software that
you are going to need to either
track progress or are necessary for you
to make progress on your goals and aspirations. All that is going to be defined
as the system for you, your personal
development system that is going to help you make progress on your goals.
That's the plan for personal development.
Those are the five elements I recommend including.
Now, this is just one part of
the Integrated Life framework, and if this is something that you have found interesting
and useful and you want to learn
more, I do offer a free call
that you can schedule with me to talk through a little bit more of the framework and what your goals are
and how I may be of support to those.
If that's something of interest, you can
just send me a message or there's a link in my profile.
I'd be happy to talk with you. If this isn't the right time for you, feel free to follow along because
I'm going to continue recording some videos and content that will help you in your personal development initiatives.
We'll see you soon. Thanks.
