The PDF is a short motivational pamphlet from Proactive Coaching authored by Bruce E. Brown. It opens with a reflective essay titled “Who Is In Your Team Picture?” in which Brown looks back on the youth athletes he coached, emphasizing that they were not merely “kids” but future leaders—future fathers, mothers, business owners, educators, military members, and other difference‑makers. He urges coaches to see beyond a player’s current abilities and to visualize the person they will become, believing in them before success arrives. The piece then shifts to a Thanksgiving‑themed gratitude section, offering a personal list of things and people for which the author is thankful, ranging from those who strengthened his confidence to those who taught him impermanence. A light‑hearted fictional anecdote follows, set in Nebraska, describing a 2016 election of the first female president, Susan Cornhusker, and a humorous conversation with her father about the inauguration. The pamphlet concludes with an “About Us” section that describes Proactive Coaching’s services—presentations and published materials for coaches, athletes, leaders, and teams aimed at building a culture of excellence in competence and character—along with a website and contact email.
