Hi, I'm Donna Bordeaux, CPA with campgroundaccounting.com I want to talk to you about the importance of using your website to its fullest capacity. Make sure that that tool is working its hardest for you and one of the biggest ways you can help that is to include great pictures and photographs. Nowadays we're all pretty lazy. We don't like to read all that much. Some content is really good, but it doesn't need to be the primary focus of each page. Photos are what's going to drive your traffic to dig further into your campground and your RV park to learn more about what you offer and to entice people to book through. I don't know if you saw it, but a study was done by Travelocity recently and that study showed that if you include 20 high resolution photos on your website, you will receive 150% more engagement and a 22% increase in bookings. Now what would you do if your bookings went up by 22% today? I think you'd probably bust a flip. You'd be pretty happy. So let's help your website help you. Another really great fact is video. You're watching my video today. Probably a lot more fun than reading for you and a lot easier and feels like a little less work. Give your prospective guests the same opportunity to see and learn about your campground by using video. Video is a hot topic on your website for campgrounds. Let people experience it before they make the booking and confirm to them that your RV park looks like what they think it will and don't disappoint them. So when you're looking for video, people are 85% more likely to buy a product after they view a video. So what do you think if you put that video on your website showing all the wonderful features of your campgrounds, your amenities, not just still shots. And this goes for both the video and the photos. Include pictures of people having fun. People want to see what it's going to look like when they get there and how they will feel when they're there. So include pictures of people having fun, whether it's sitting around the campground, diving into the pool, jumping on your jump pad, walking around and relaxing, laying back in a chair or a hammock and having a great time. Show pictures of people in there too. That is definitely it. I was at a conference last week and somebody asked about having photos on your website if you had high res photos on your website and one of the members in our audience said yes, I have high res photos on mine. She said they're stock photos. No. No stock photos. Is your campground really that horrible that you have to show somebody else's pictures? Come on. I know you got some beauties out there. So get those high res photos. Get them up on your website. Don't make them little tiny pictures on the side. Make them big enough to be attractive to people. Make sure that that is a target that people can look at and learn about your campsite and entice them to book. And don't forget, I hope you have that link right after where you've got the button where they can book that site right there. So streamline your process. Make sure that your website is working as hard as it possibly can for you. It's your best employee. Give it at least 20 high res photos throughout your website. Fill that website with photos so people can experience it before they book. You will see an increase in your bookings if you do. Please let me know how this goes. Let me know if you make some improvements to your site and what the effects were. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks. I'm Donna Bordeaux again with campground accounting.
