Most entrepreneurs start out loving that 50% profit margin. You're lean, mean and keeping most of what you earned. But here's the reality check. As you scale, those margins will naturally compress. And that's actually a good thing when you're first starting out. Keeping that 50% is amazing. But to truly scale, you'll need to invest in team systems and infrastructure traffic. Dropping to 35% or even 25% profit isn't a failure. It's a sign of strategic expansion. So let's talk about a little example. Would you rather have a $100,000 in sale business with $50,000 profit or a business that sells $1,000,000 in revenue with $250,000 in profit? The math is pretty clear here. More revenue at a lower margin means more money in your pocket. The average successful business operates a 15 to 20% net profit. Your 35% is still exceptional. Stop seeing compressed margins as a negative. View them as an investment in your future potential.
