A short YouTube tip from Donna (spoken in first person) advising creative studios to host a "newbie night" to attract non-artistic or technically minded people who may find walking into a studio intimidating. She recommends making the event explicitly low-pressure (emphasize that no artistic skill is needed), invite friends, partner with nearby employers (e.g., programmers, engineers), and market the event as suitable for people who "can't draw stick figures." The clip closes with a request for viewer feedback and suggestions.

I want you to bring in some newbies to your studio. How can you do that? I'm Donna Bordeaux with pyobaccounting.com and today's tip is about bringing the newbies in. Many of you don't realize it's pretty intimidating to walk into your studio if you're not a creative person. If you got some technical skills and maybe not the artistic type, it can be a little intimidating. I know myself like even glass and mosaic St. That sounds really kind of out of my comfort zone. But there's good news. You can create a safe place for people to come in and let them know they don't need any skills at all to have a fun, enjoyable time. Set out to make a newbie night in your studio. Bring the newbies. Invite people to. Bring a friend. Grab some people who don't have any technical or any creative experience. Maybe even go out and do some events with employers. So if you've got a company nearby that has a bunch of computer programmers or engineers, people who are not typically going to have that creative side of their brain going, invite them in for a newbie night. Take the pressure off. Make sure that you're marketing this as an event that's not for artistic type people. That's more for just your average show. So. So maybe you're marketing that. If you can print your name but you can't really draw stick figures, this might be the event for you. Bring in the noobs. You'll get a new crew of people into your studio who've never experienced it before and I know they're going to have a fun time and they'll be back and they'll bring their friends. So try on newbie night and let me know what you do. Give us your suggestions, give us your comments and let us take note and help build a great event for everybody. Thanks.
