Short video by Donna Bordeaux (campgroundaccounting.com) urging campground operators to monitor and improve on-site WiFi. She emphasizes testing speeds both during low-occupancy times and busy holiday weekends, because guests increasingly work remotely or engage in virtual schooling; she gives positive examples (including a park in Gatlinburg, TN) and invites operators to share solutions.

Hi, I'm Donna Bordeaux with campgroundaccounting.com I want to remind you of a very important utility that you need to check in on. And I know you're not going to be surprised by this one, but it's your WI fi. Check it out and see how the speeds are going and not just how they're going. When there's nobody in your park and when it's slow, I want you to check it out. On busy weekends. As you have some upcoming holiday weekends, I want you to go out there and test out that WI fi. Here's the reason. More and more people are traveling and doing their work from the road. And you've got to be able to satisfy those people. Make sure that this is not the thing that you get dinged on. You could offer a wonderful experience. But if your WI fi stinks and they can't do their work and they're stressed out about it, guess what? That reflects poorly on you. There are also a ton of people on the road now with their kids doing virtual schooling. You need to have the WI fi to be able to let them do that. I have been privileged to go to a few campgrounds just recently who have a stellar WI fi performance. And I'll tell you what, it's top on my list. I was at a campground recently that allowed me to bring my own WI fi router and plug and play with that. And that was a wonderful experience. That really helped have a lot of great security for my work as well. And also I was at another WI fi, a new park that had some great WI fi in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I'm going to post some pictures here of their beautiful hubs for the. For the WI fi. Right there in with my pedestal for my electric and water was the WI fi. And I know that's not uncommon, but the speeds were incredible. And that was with a packed weekend in September. So make sure that you are looking at your improvements to your park and make sure that if your WI fi is not running high up there on the speed speeds that you've got plans to get it that way. That will take you a long way into the future. And I think you're going to see more and more reviewers who are going to be reviewing you on your WI FI speed, not just how great your bathrooms are. And, and I'm always baffled by it from an RVER standpoint. Most of the parks I go to, I don't ever visit the bathroom, but I use that WI fi like nobody's business. So make sure you got your money where your mouth is. When it comes to the wi fi, it's that it's unimportant anymore. You have to be able to compete and have great wi fi. So let me know how things are going in your park and what solutions you found that have helped you really grow your park with the good Wi Fi word. I'm Donna Bordeaux with campgroundaccounting.com Sam.
