This short video features Donna (Bordeaux/Genie) from CalculatedMoves.com offering practical tips for business owners seeking retail or warehouse rental space. She recommends combining physical site visits with online searching, highlighting LoopNet.com as a primary commercial-property listing resource akin to the residential MLS.
Are you thinking about looking at a new retail location or even warehouse space for your business? Well, I want to give you some tips on how to find the best retail locations and how to get the best deal. I'm Donna Bordeaux with calculatedmoves.com and I help business owners take care of business each and every day when looking for new locations where you will be renting a space. Many people just drive around town and try to find spaces that they like and look at them and that's okay. I do recommend taking that physical look at things, but what if you don't have all day to do that? How do you know what's available just from the comfort of your desk? Well, the Internet we know does a lot of great things and there is a great source of information for finding commercial property that is available for rent or for sale. Even so, my favorite is to hop out to LoopNet.com l o o p n e t.com LoopNet is similar to the MLS system for houses, only it's for commercial property, so it will allow you to search by location, see it on a map and get some general information about what space sizes are available and sometimes some rent rates.
