This is Freedom Fastlane, presented by Capitalism.com Freedom is living life outside the system. It's redefining the rules and bending them to your demands. My name is Ryan Daniel Moran and I'm an entrepreneur and an investor. I'm an independent, a father, and I'm a skeptic. I'm on a journey and so are you. This show is about creating a life on your terms, building businesses and investing the profits. Others call it weird to pursue life beyond the norm, but we are the one that takes responsibility for our lives and our results. We are the creators of the Free World, and together we are on the Freedom Fast Lane. It's your favorite podcast you didn't know you loved. Welcome everybody, to Freedom Fast Lane. Thanks for hanging out with me. My name is Ryan Daniel Moran and I'm glad that you made it here. Whether you just heard about the show or you were a longtime listener, I want to welcome you back to Freedom Fast Lane. I started this show in 2013 when I was in a transition point in my life. I had just moved to a new city and it was time for me to carve out a new way forward. I had had a little bit of success in business and was ready for a much bigger game and I started documenting the journey for a much different level of success than I had been used to pursuing. And in 2013, I started a few companies and I basically laid out the entire process of how I was building these businesses over the following five years. And during that time, people found me or recognized me all over the world for what I was sharing here on the Freedom Fast Lane podcast. And during that time, hundreds of people approached me and told me that they too had built seven and some eight figure businesses as a result of finding this work. The reason why so many people were successful and so many people became millionaires as a result of following some of the strategies that I had been sharing on the show was because my unique ability has been charting new territory, experimenting with new things or trying out new challenges, and then sharing what I learned along the way. So along the way, many new entrepreneurs became successful simply because they were following in the footsteps of what I shared was working for me. There was five years of documentation of those businesses as well as my own personal journey during that time. And this podcast series is some of the best episodes, the most popular episodes, the most helpful episodes that helped many entrepreneurs and many freedom seeking people pursue new areas of freedom, new areas of wealth and new opportunities that they ultimately grew. Many of them becoming wildly successful, many of them being sold for tens of millions of dollars. And we're talking about entrepreneurs who were just starting, who were just looking for a new way to make money, quit their jobs and didn't know how to do it. And this podcast series gave them the opportunity and the skill set to be able to do that. Now, it's my opinion, if I could summarize the fast lane to freedom in just two steps, I think it's very simple. The way to build wealth, the way to build freedom that compounds over time, is to build a business and to invest the profits for passive cash flow. Now, there's a lot in there and we could take years to get there. But building a business is its own set of questions, its own set of challenges. And believe me when I tell you that investing the profits for passive cash flow has its own set of unique questions, challenges as well. And so we dive deep into all of these throughout the show. There's one other area that I think is vitally important in order to have true freedom, and we'll talk about that here in a second. But when it comes to building a business, if I were to summarize it into a couple steps, it's very simple, very simply. Number one, having a product to sell. Number two, putting that product up in the marketplace and get it selling. And number three, release additional products. That's how we build a business. And that's business in three steps. Have a product. Step two, get that product up and selling in the marketplace. Step three, release additional products. That three step framework is going to become the context through which we look at a lot of different businesses and a lot of different strategies and methodologies throughout this podcast series. For example, there's a YouTube video that has about 2 million views as the at the time of this recording, if you just search my name on YouTube or Ryan Moran plus Amazon on YouTube, you'll find it. And it's where I outline how to go from zero to $1 million in sales per year, specifically on Amazon.com and the strategy was simply coming up with a product, putting it on Amazon, getting reviews until you was up and selling consistently, and releasing additional products until you're at a million dollars. We can repeat that formula or we can talk about that formula in the context of just about any business. If you are a consultant, it's defining where your unique value is. Charging a few thousand dollars a month for you, your time, which is the product, and then going out and getting you your product, selling in the marketplace. And that can come from Facebook posts, it could come from paid advertising. It can come from doing podcasts and getting your name out there. I did it with Amazon.com, i've also done this with digital products, where I've created digital products. Put them out into the world, get them selling consistently, and you release additional products by following this methodology. I have made a million dollars in several different ways throughout my I almost had 30 years as a person, but I guess it's 12 years as an entrepreneur. And I will tell you that I still to this day, I guess now in this reset period of my life where I have made millions of dollars, sold businesses and taken home more than man $10 million in cash just from selling businesses, not to mention the money that I've made from the businesses themselves. I once again am back at Discovery Mode of what's my product? So I get the confusion, I get the concern when you are starting out as an entrepreneur, of all the different pieces and nuances that go into choosing what product to sell. I promise you that when you go through this series, you'll at least have a list of ideas that you might want to bring to the marketplace if you want more specific help on choosing products, getting them out into the world, and building your first business. I have another podcast series called Million Dollar Brands which is also on capitalism.com, that you'll really enjoy. And when you go through it, you'll know most of what you need to know in order to get products up and selling consistently in the marketplace. So that three step model of choosing products, releasing them into the marketplace and getting them selling and then releasing additional products is the formula for for building seven, sometimes eight figure businesses. It's my recommendation that you have a cash flow business that you are able to invest those profits into other areas. So it's my opinion that taking the cash flow from a business is best invested into other places where you're going to generate passive income like real estate funds or single family homes, or multifamily real estate, or buying other businesses or dividend paying stock. And these are all things that I experiment with, all things that I have some exposure to. I have a small portfolio of single family homes. I have a pretty deep investment portfolio in stocks and dividend paying companies. I invest very heavily in private syndications and funds. I buy and invest in businesses. I buy websites, I do.
Oh shoot, of course I'm going to forget what it's called. I do some things in order to mitigate my taxes. We'll talk about many of these here on the show and I continue to Explore new ways to grow my wealth, to invest wiser, to pay less taxes. And if you want more of that, I continue to document that on my podcast, which is called the 1%. And it's a little bit more controversial because we jump into multiple different areas of life, including relationships, including health, including things that you don't talk about at parties like politics and religion. But ultimately, we come back to wealth and freedom and investing, and as the root of what is really the source of our ability to pursue being the best in multiple areas of life. Now, before I mentioned that, there were two steps to financial freedom, which is building a business and investing the profits. But there's one other area of life that we have to master if we're going to enjoy real freedom. And it's probably the hardest one, and it's simply defining the life that you want to live. Of course, that sounds airy fairy, and it sounds easy, but it's probably the hardest part of freedom. Every entrepreneur that I know, every person who has built a business and invested the profits and has financial freedom, gets a new level of challenges or a new level of questions that they have to ask if they're going to be truly happy. Because financial freedom allows us to have many different opportunities or make better choices. But if we don't have a guiding principle, a guiding light, a guiding desire that guides our decisions, then we can really have a hard time finding fulfillment. And what is freedom? Without fulfillment, it's actually depression and destruction. Ask me how I know. Ask most entrepreneurs, most successful people, most celebrities, most famous people, how they know. If you remove responsibility, if you remove progress, if you remove growth, if you remove vision from someone, but you give them a lot of choice and you give them a lot of freedom, they end up destroying themselves. They end up destroying their lives. It happens 100% of the time. I call it the space. I call it this space that we create. It's the space between what we want to move away from and what we want to move toward. I like to liken it to an empty room.
As I'm recording this right now, I'm just at the tail end of renovating a lake house. It's my reward for a decade of hard work. And I cleared out a whole lot of stuff in this lake house. I cleared out the floors, I replaced the paint, I replaced a lot of appliances, I replaced a lot of old designs, I replaced carpets, I replaced walls. I moved walls and bathrooms around right, So I cleared out a lot of old stuff. But if I had never defined what I wanted in the room, I would just have an empty space. And emptiness feels empty. No one enjoys sitting in an empty room. No one wants to be in a room that doesn't have a vision or a decor to it. It's only enjoyed, it's only played in, it's only impressive when we have filled the space with something that brings us joy, with something that brings us meaning, with something that brings us purpose. So many times as human beings, we spend energy trying to be free of something, be free from something. And this podcast will give you the knowledge and the ability to make enough money, or at least to know the strategies behind how other people have made a lot of money, to be free from whatever financial constraints, whatever lifestyle constraints you might feel right now. I know because many people have told me that this podcast, the episodes that you're going to hear, gave them the confidence, it gave them the clarity, and it gave them the vision to be able to make the decisions necessary to build a business that was wildly profitable, allowed them to invest for passive income, and in many cases, never have to work again. I have no idea how many jobs we've killed, or maybe I should say jobs that we have freed up for other people who are pursuing opportunities. But we've created a lot of really successful entrepreneurs, and you're going to be equipped with that. And then if you're like most people, you're going to run into a spot in which there is space, emptiness. What do I do now? What compels me moving forward? These are the questions that I still continue to struggle with, that I continue to explore. And I promise to always be honest with you about where I am in that journey and where I am on that path. Because freedom is a pursuit, freedom is a cycle. One of my mentors, Dan Sullivan, will say that happiness is not a pursuit, happiness is an expansion. And that's a lesson I'm learning right now. If we're not pursuing happiness, if we're just happy, then freedom is our ability to pursue the expansion of happiness. And that's a lesson that life is still teaching me. So what I've done is I have assembled a list of the best podcasts from the five years that I did documenting building million dollar companies. After you've listened to them, you're going to have a vision and probably a set of questions of how to best move forward. When you are ready to move forward, I'd encourage you to join us at one of our upcoming events. We do two a year and we do one that's all about business, specifically physical Products because my business is invest and advise physical products brands, which you'll hear a lot about here on the podcast. And we do a capstone event which is called the Capitalism Conference, where we bring in some of the best entrepreneurs in the world, we bring in experts on timely topics in investing and the economy, and we put some of the best in the world into one room and we create partnerships and new opportunities and experience for those entrepreneurs. I would also encourage you to grab one of the trainings over@capitalism.com that best serves you. We do regular workshops about investing or building businesses and about selling companies as well. Because if there's a faster lane, if.
There'S a route that's even faster than building businesses and investing the profits, it would be selling businesses and investing the profits. When you're really free financially is when you build a business, you sell it for a whack ton of money and then you have enough money to invest for passive income so that you never have to work again. That's the story that I wrote and documented here on the podcast and it's also the one that many of my students followed, some of whom sold for tens of millions of dollars as a result of following the strategies that we outlined together throughout this podcast. So that's what we do at capitalism.com, we train entrepreneurs, we help them build businesses and invest the profits. And you can grab any of our products or any of our come to any of our workshops or events in order to go faster. If after going through this training you are, you're saying I want to do this right now, I would probably recommend that you start@capitalism.com brands and you'll find one of our structured trainings that is all about deciding what products you want to bring to the marketplace, getting them up and selling quickly, having the scalability to grow it into an impactful business and putting it in a position to where it is sellable or long term profitable. So you'll be building a scalable and a sellable business. And one of our structured trainings there is@capitalism.com brands. So let me give you a quick taste of what you're going to be discovering throughout this podcast series. First, I'm going to bring on a couple of my mentors who have helped me find peace in the midst of chaos and also discover what it is that that I am moving towards or what it is that I want to experience. And some of those things are creativity, travel, joy, connection, and you'll hear me navigate that throughout this podcast series. And also if you decide to carry on through the journey. Over at the 1% on capitalism.com you're also going to hear case studies with students who have implemented some of the things they learned here on the podcast. One of my favorites is with the richest kid in Maine. It's with a young man who found the podcast and started building a business that he ultimately sold for a few million dollars after a couple of years. And at like 21 or 22 years old, he was a multimillionaire and never had to work again. And all of that is possible. All of that is still doable. We are also going to hear some really large case studies, like the episodes that I did with founders of companies that you might be familiar with. But what you'll find is that their strategies were very similar to the ones that I've helped even small entrepreneurs implement for many, many years. So the strategies are mostly the same. It's the scale at which they're performed that they're executed that determines if somebody is just a lifestyle entrepreneur or they make billions of dollars. You're gonna hear some clips from our live events and you're also going to hear some of the conversations.
About passive cash flow, about tax reduction, about generating long term wealth. All of this is covered throughout this podcast series. So as a result of completing this, you're going to see those really, those three steps in action. Deciding what you want your life to look like, getting clear on what business model will get you there, and then investing the profits for long term cash flow so that you don't have to worry about financial burdens ever again. Of course, I'm sort of lying to you because I can tell you that no matter what level you get, no matter how rich you become, you always have money problems. Some are just better than others. We always have challenges. We always have problems. And what I hope this podcast will do will give you the full cycle of what it looks like from beginning to end, to be able to put together a cash flow business that gives you the ability to ask deeper questions like what do I want my life to look like? How far do I want to go? How much of an impact do I want to make? And we can continue on that leg of the journey together once again. The podcast that I now host is called the 1%.
