National survey report (‘‘Giving Report 2019 — Brasil’’) produced by CAF and IDIS presenting patterns of giving, volunteering and civic engagement in Brazil for the period Aug 2017–Jul 2018 (surveyed Aug 2–31, 2018). Key findings: 70% of adults reported donating money in the past 12 months, 53% reported volunteering in the past 12 months; median annual donation among those who gave (12-month window) was R$200 (mean R$532). The report highlights donations concentrated to religious organizations (52%), cash as the dominant method (68%), and policy / sector notes such as the 2018 law enabling philanthropic endowments.
