So if you are wondering how you can continue make an impact without sacrificing the life you love, welcome. Therapeneur. This is exactly the place for you. Think of it like the business school we never had. I am so excited to dive in with you. Let's get started. Welcome back to the show therapist. I am Carly Hill and you're listening to another episode designed to help you stand out, outgrow the office, scale up, stay booked as an expert in your space. We have talked about visibility before on this show and how do you stand out in a saturated market? But visibility isn't just about showing up all of the time. It is about how you're positioned. So today we're going to talk about the visibility power move that nobody's really talking about, but they should be because we have silent burnout that comes from visibility hustle. Often you're just trying to be everywhere, you're trying to do everything and you still feel like you're not getting seen. And this visibility power move is a power move that can help you be seen without the burnout. So what is it, Carly? It's not a reel, it's not a funnel, it's not a brand photo shoot. It is much deeper. It's much cooler to be honest. It's authority driven and it can change the way it does change the way people perceive you before they ever speak to you. What is this power move? Hey there. Did you know we give away one of our incredible digital products every single week? All you have to do is leave a review for the show, then submit proof using the link in the show notes and you'll be entered to win. Prizes include amazing resources like our passive income course, the license protection bundle, top business trainings, my bestselling book, and so much more. It's super simple and your review helps us reach more listeners just like you. So take a moment to share your thoughts, enter to win and maybe you'll be our next winner. It's writing your book. Ding, ding, ding. If you guessed it, it's being an author. It's being an author. Being an author, writing my book. It absolutely changed the trajectory of My business for the better. It was one of the best business moves that I ever made. So let's start with some real talk. Because so many coaches, therapists, experts, they hold back from writing their book because they think they're not established enough. They're like, oh, I'm not a writer, I'm a therapist, I'm not a writer, I don't have the time. That's probably the biggest one I hear. I don't know enough to be an authority or write a book. But here's the truth. If you've helped even just one person through your work, you already have what it takes to write a book. Your story, your method, your perspective matters. So you don't need to be the most well known or the most followed person. You just need to own your experience, own your process and your unique way of helping others. In fact, your book is going to help your potential clients reach you, not the other way around. You don't have to be known as a thought leader in order to write a book. Writing a book can help you be known as a thought leader. Make sense. So a book isn't just a book, it's a business tool. It's like a business card on steroids. And it's all about positioning. Think about every thought leader that you know. They have a book, right? So your book is more than just a set of stories or lessons. It's an asset in your business that's going to build authority. It's an authority asset. It's positioning, it's proof. It's basically a client trust accelerator. It's like the best lead magnet that ever exists on the earth. So when somebody finds your book and resonates with your story, they start seeing you differently. You instantly become the expert, the go to the trust it one. So it doesn't matter if you have 800 followers or 80,000 followers. Authors are perceived differently, period. They just are. They get more speaking opportunities, more media features, more high ticket clients. Your book can act like a business card on steroids, doing the work for you long before you ever hop on a sales call. You're going to build that trust before they ever even speak to you. So let's talk about my story for a second, my journey and the impact that my book has made. If you're new to my world, I wrote a book called Therapreneur. I'm a best selling author on Amazon. I was in the middle of running my seven figure business. I wasn't a full time writer. I had never written a book before. I Had a very full plate and I still made it happen. Yes, it required sacrifice. Late nights, weekends, I was saying no to things. I would sit in my bed late at night with my Lacroix or glass of wine and I would just sit there and I would type. I did say no to friends. I would cancel my weekend plans just to catch up and write my book because I had to deliver my chapter. Having a book coach was one of the best moves that I made because I would have never gotten my book finished without having that accountability that my chapter two had to be in at X date. I was also rereading every single thing that I had written. And my book coach was like, carly, just give me your jankiest shittiest copy. She gave me a permission slip to just get it out of my head and onto paper. And then I started writing and writing and writing and it became easier. And the return on my book was wild. I quadrupled my email list. I brought in additional 10k months just in new client revenue. It's landed me extra podcast interviews, speaking gigs, media, press. Most importantly, it has built trust. It's made it easier than ever for aligned clients to find me and to trust me. I've had people binge the book in one weekend and enroll in my coaching by Monday. So I didn't wait for my business to arrive before I wrote the book. The book is what helped it arrive. So one of the biggest myths is that you need to have it all figured out before you write. And that's just wrong. You can write while you're building. In fact, the process of writing often clarifies your message, your niche, your voice. The book becomes a permanent extension of your brand and your legacy, your movement. I just had a client have her book launch party and she had a hundred people there. I was like, wow, you're so popular, you're so loved. Her two daughters were there. Like, what a cool legacy that you're building. This is a movement, so you don't need to be a polished writer. You just need to speak from your heart. You need to know who you're writing to. And I'll tell you from experience, becoming a best selling author, it changed my ways. It changed my business in ways that social media never could. So if your heart has been whispering, write that book. If you've always wanted to write a book as a little girl, that was me.
