Welcome to the Thriving therapyneur Podcast. The show for ambitious therapists who are ready to unapologetically make more money, scale their impact and build their dream coaching business. I'm Carly Hill, therapist turned coach turned CEO of a seven figure online business. I created the Thriving Therapeutic Podcast because I'm obsessed with helping big hearted therapists outgrow the office and build successful and sustainable online businesses. So if you are wondering how you can continue to make an impact without sacrificing the life you love, welcome.
Therapeneur.
This is exactly the place for you. Think of it like the business school we never had. I am so excited to dive in with you.
Let's get started. All right, therapist, let's have a real conversation. You have spent years mastering your craft. You've sat with people in their darkest moments. You've built a reputation rooted in trust, compassion, excellence. So when it comes to starting a coaching business, you could probably figure it out on your own. You're smart, you're resourceful. You know how to Google. But here's the thing. No one tells you about diying your coaching business. It is the slowest, most expensive way to get where you're going. And this is not just my opinion. This has come straight from my client's mouth. In this episode, I am going to just read you a series of screenshots that I have taken. When I asked all of my clients and I said to them, hey, if you're a current client, you're willing to share your advice on diying it so that people who are thinking about joining the Therapist to Coach accelerator program can see what you're thinking. I would love you for this. And they showed up and they just ranted and raved and talked about their personal situations on why they would recommend not diying it and why it is the slowest, most expensive way to get where you're going. Because the reality is you're going to spend months, if not years, listening to free podcasts, signing up for webinars, saving Instagram posts. Like trying to cobble together a strategy that may or may not work for your unique situation. You're going to stay stuck in decision fatigue. You're going to wonder if your niche is clear enough, if your offer is too big, if your pricing is right, if your content is actually converting, all while your vision, that one that is whispering to you, you're meant for more. That vision is just going to sit on the shelf. And it's not because you're lazy. It's because you're trying to Build something brand new with zero support. And you don't have to do this. Every successful coach that you follow online, they did not wing it. They didn't wait until they felt 100% ready. I always say ready is a decision. It's not a feeling. They didn't figure it out later. No. They made a decision to move before everything was perfect. They got in rooms with mentors and community. They got support, they got clarity, they got momentum. And that's the difference between watching other people build their dream and building your own. So you can try to DIY it for another year or you can make the decision that changes everything and you can start taking strategic, supported action right now. So again, I don't want you to just take this from me. I want you to take it from my clients. So I'm going to pull up these screenshots and I'm just going to read you these screenshots. Okay? I posted all of these on my social media, but if you're a podcaster, not really a scroller, which is definitely me, I'm more of a podcaster than a scroller. I love just listening and walking. Then check out what all of these clients have to say. So one client says, as you know, I tried to DIY it for about 10 months before signing onto your program. Honestly, I look back and it was a lot of good intent and effort on my part and I'm proud of myself for trying. But there is no way in all caps I could have achieved what I have right now if I didn't join your VIP program. The guidance, community, information and resources are unmatched. You would have to try hard not to succeed in this program. No regrets here. Good things are happening. Someone else said after some time talking with Carly and doing the free trainings, I signed up this month. But I've been trying to piecemeal and DIY my coaching practice for maybe 10 years. Yes, 10 years in all caps. I'd follow so many different coaches and tried their free offerings but like a really good recipe. So something was also held back and things fell flat. I've not yet started the modules, but I've read Carly's book and have already figured out that there's no way DIYing it was going to work. Thanks Carly for being patient with me. Another client, I decided last year that I wanted to transition into coaching and found Carly's group. I started following her and got a lot of great info, but I wanted to try it on my own first. Her program was always in my mind and after Reading her book, I decided to go for it and join the program. One thing that really stood out to me, she wrote that people purchase coaching programs for three reasons. They can't do it themselves, they want to do it better or they want to do it faster. That really resonated with me. Even though I'm perfectly capable of coaching, I didn't have the first clue of how to launch a program. I really believed that by joining her program I could do it faster and better. And I was right. And if I'm being totally honest, I wish I would have started sooner because I ended up having to undo and redo a lot of things I attempted on my own, which in the end just ended up costing more time and more money. And I could have saved it and I could have started the program right off the bat. Another client. I love Carly's program so much. I've never hired a business coach before, but I knew she could help me help others much quicker than I could on my own. I wish I would have hired a coach for my private pay practice too, so I could have learned quicker and made money quicker. I have already made way more money because of Carly than I could have ever made on my own this quick. It's so much easier to have somebody who's been through the steps before forever grateful for Carly. And her program literally covers everything in all caps.
All right, quick pause, my friend.
Because if you have been thinking about.
Starting a coaching business but you're overwhelmed by where to begin, this is your sign. I'm hosting a free five day challenge. It's called the Therapist to Coach Transformation Challenge.
And?
And it is designed to help you bridge the gap between therapy and coaching ethically, profitably and with total alignment. We kick off Monday, June 9, and over the five days, I'm going to.
Walk you through exactly how to pick.
A niche, build a coaching offer and start attracting your first clients. Even if you're starting from scratch, even if you're nervous, even if you're wondering if you're expert enough, you just need to show up. I'll guide you from there. Head to the link in the show notes to register for free and I'll.
See you inside another one. I DIY'd setting up my private practice and that was hard enough. I cannot imagine having tried to do this on my own. I very rarely give people blind trust, but Carly absolutely deserves it. I made a commitment to myself to just do what Carly tells me to do for the duration of her program. And I have learned so freaking much in all caps. If you're even considering Carly's program, I cannot recommend it enough. Remember that it's an investment in your business and those you will help in the future and an investment in your own knowing, your own being and your own identity as well. Someone else said, echoing what the other ladies have said, thank freaking goodness I found Carly in her program. There's no way I would have been able to have a full time job, set up this program and learned all the tiny nuances and strategies that she teaches you. Yes, everyone knows they need to post and message people, but how do you post in a way that attracts an ideal client? How do you message people and not seem spammy and salesy? Where do you find your ideal client? There are so many things to learn and understand and Carly teaches them all. I've always believed in mentorship and being humble enough to know when you need support. Another client says hello. I have not even tried to DIY it. Lol. I knew I needed guidance. I also knew almost instantly after learning more about her program that Carly was the person to go to for guidance in opening a coaching business. As a therapist she is truly amazing in what she does and how much she gives to this program. I am only two months in and I cannot vouch enough for it. Another one. Total transparency here. I am confident veteran therapist joining this program after 25 plus years of private practice. That being said, I am also a tech disaster and a total loss of how social media works. I am slowly and sometimes painfully working my way through this challenging program. I have so much to learn. Seriously, how the heck do you do an Instagram post and why do we need hashtags? Never mind the CRM. Never even heard of it. Without this program, a coaching platform for my practice would never happen in all caps. I'm very grateful to be here and will absolutely recommend it to any therapist who wants to branch out into the coaching arena. There is so much to learn and Carly puts it all into one place. It's a lot to digest but I cannot imagine going at it alone. Thank you Carly. Some of these are making me really laugh. If you can't tell. Okay, I got another one. Definitely just sign up for Carly's program. Just do it. Seriously. You can try to throw things at the wall and see what sticks or piece it together yourself, but Carly will give you a step by step roadmap to make sure that you're doing it right and that you're doing it right the first time. I cannot tell you how much money I wasted before I found the right kind of support to get my coaching business off the ground. Carly is that person. You will make your investment back easily and it will be so worth it. Another one. I'd been hobbying it for years off and on, thinking things would come together eventually, but was consistently holding myself back because I knew there were no systems on the back end to have things organized. I knew I had a program in me and just hearing Carly say what are you saying all the time to your clients forced me to figure out and organize a clean, well developed system that I can happily sell now that I'm proud of, which is such a relief. No more questioning, wondering if I'm doing it right or ethically. She covers all the bases. No more concern about being a therapist and also a coach and the rules around my licensure and the community of women. Don't even get me started on that part. This community is loaded with powerful, brilliant women and I'm honored to be able to learn from them as well. This program is an absolute no brainer in all caps and is worth every penny and so much more. Carly over delivers like none other. Okay, here's another one. I like to believe that I'm pretty good at diying and was easily able to build my own therapy practice that way. But there was no way I could have created a coaching course with the value and ROI anything near what it will be without going through Carly's course. She is thorough, supportive and not afraid to hold you to the fire, which is such a huge part of this. The mindset piece can be extremely daunting and Carly's program and VIP group really hold your hand through the process. I honestly don't know that anyone couldn't be successful after going through her course and following her guidance. Here's another one. I mean I have hundreds of these. Okay, I could write paragraphs. I've never even entertained coaching much. When I ran across Carly's Facebook ads, I started listening to her trainings and I had the gut feeling I can do this. I met with Carly and honestly never ever would have been able to understand how to run an effective business without her knowledge, systems, mentorship and accountability. I am still learning and finding my own path, but I will never look back. Carly loves her clients and literally gives us everything in all caps. We need to be successful. We still have to do the work, but the guesswork is not a part of this plan. If you have been trying on your own thought about doing it, there is no one like Carly who is going to support you more forever thankful for this opportunity to take a more active approach and my freedom and my future. Okay, I'm going to read you a few more. Carly, I have wanted to become a coach from some time now and I had no idea where to start. When I met you it was literally a no brainer as I felt that you would teach me all I needed to know. I'm less than a month in and there is absolutely no way in hell I would have been able to do this on my own. I've been telling all my therapist friends and my mom lol that you are definitely worth your weight in gold. Here's another one. Carly's program has been one of the best investments in myself I have made. I did two other programs before this and I realized how unhelpful they were after being a part of Carly's world. In a couple of weeks of working with Carly, I had my first client. If you want to add coaching, this program is a no brainer. Here's another one. One of the problems of DIY is you just don't have a good framework for starting and running a business like this. With so many decision points and a lot of opportunity for wasted time in isolation, Carly's model is both sophisticated and approachable. You can't replicate her vision and generosity in helping therapists become coaches. If you're still listening, I love that you're still with me. I'm going to read you like three or four more I am so thankful to have met Carly Hill and found this program. This is one of the best investments I have made in myself. I'm fairly new in the journey, but tapping into untapped skills in myself I didn't know I had. This has been an empowering experience and I am excited about what's ahead. This group has been amazing. It feels great to connect with so many like minded and amazing women. The high achiever in you thinks diying it is a good idea, but Future youe Knows better. It's not that we can't figure out anything on our own, it's that at the end of the day it's a waste of time and energy. We can get to our goals 10 times faster by allowing ourselves to get help and be supported. The biggest lesson I've learned on this journey is that it takes a lot more bravery to get help than to try to do it alone. My life changed so much in a good way when I took the leap and signed up for the Therapist to Coach Accelerator. Here's another one I DIY most things my website my private practice, my kitchen counters, but a hundred percent would not recommend diying this whole coaching thing. I actually tried that route for about a year and got pretty much nowhere. I made more progress in this program in six weeks than I did in six months on my own because I didn't know what I was doing. Just get some coaching. I'm so grateful for Carly's program. I never would have been able to do this on my own and as fast as I did. She gives you everything you need and guides you to success in your coaching program. She gives you so much support and guidance. Carly's program and her coaching have been the best investment in me and my business. Another client says, I've been trying on my own for about two years and this is very much streamlining my learning and progress. I'm less than one month in and I have more successful strategies in place in that month than in the two years I've been trying on my own. I'm going to stop there. I hope this sheds some light for you on the difference between diying it and getting some mentorship and getting some help. And if you know exactly where you want to go, then mentorship is the shortcut that you're looking for. So the Therapist to Coach accelerator is open for enrollment. It's my seven month mentorship program. It is designed specifically for a therapist ready to transition into coaching. If you are looking to create a scalable, ethical, aligned business and finally start making income and impact, then the accelerator is going to help you do this. Clarifying your niche, your messaging, creating a price, creating your high ticket offer, deciding what your program is going to look like, all the deliverables inside marketing it, attracting aligned clients, protecting your license, getting off the hamster wheel of content that doesn't convert all with confidence. So you're going to get my step by step curriculum, live coaching, expert guest trainings. There's a VIP community. All the tools, the templates, the copy and paste strategies. This has helped thousands of therapists go from overworked to thriving in their new coaching business. This is not a course that you sign up for and you forget about it.
