Your body needs cardio every day. Hi, I'm Dr. Cathy. I'm a chiropractor, empowerment speaker, coach, and fitness professional here to explain why, yes, you do need to do cardio. Your heart and your lungs are going to get strengthened by doing cardiovascular exercises, and while you get more oxygen into your lungs, it's also going into your blood and out to every cell in your body. To make it even more effective, if you do cardio first thing in the morning, it's called fast Fasted cardio, you're going to have no food in there, so you're going to be burning off fat. You want to make it even more effective? Do it last thing at night after you've eaten, when you're done digesting, before bed, so that now you're burning off whatever glucose you have in your system. Then all night long you'll be burning fat. Get up in the morning, do it again. Now, you only want to do about 6 to 20 minutes, low intensity, doesn't have to be high intensity, but yes, you do need to do cardio.
