Episode 274: Finding Your "Why," with Chris Prefontaine
2 Jun 2021 · 33 min
In this solo episode of the Smart Real Estate Coach Podcast, host Chris Prefontaine delivers a multi‑layered discussion that blends real‑estate investing tactics, personal storytelling, mindset theory, and community building. He opens by dismissing market predictions and urging listeners to acquire property—especially through long‑term, structured “terms” deals that protect personal assets and provide flexibility. He recounts his April 2021 Vermont retreat, highlighting how his family experiences, recent business milestones (a 30‑year land purchase, a 20‑year office‑building note), and past hardships (2008 crash, tow‑truck incident) shape his personal “why”: creating wealth to fund priceless family experiences. Prefontaine then shifts to mindset, contrasting “open” versus “closed” mindsets, referencing Carol Dweck’s work and illustrating the concept with examples from Bill Reich, Mia Hamm, Oprah, NASA, and Jack Welch. He introduces Brian Tracy’s 7‑year entrepreneur cycle, urging listeners to endure early pain, build momentum, and aim for later success. Throughout, he promotes community resources—upcoming events like Summer of Deals and QLS Live, the Clubhouse “Wicked Smart Real Estate Club,” case‑study videos, and a limited‑time offer to coach three people on completing a first terms deal within 120 days. He repeatedly calls listeners to engage via email, rate/review the podcast for giveaways, and share the episode. The episode concludes with a sponsor plug and a final encouragement to celebrate wins, unplug for reflection, and take decisive action.

Good morning and welcome. Wicked smart listeners, this is Chris Prefontaine, and today I'm bringing you another solo cast. Yep, all by my lonesome with the intent of dropping you a few personal or business nuggets that you can act on immediately, I hope. Okay, that's gonna be my intent. It could be something I share or just something that was sparked from something I shared. That's the case a lot of times when I sit in masterminds. They'll say something, I'll go, oh, and my mind goes a different direction. That's okay, that's good. There are a few things for certain as this market continues to change, the real estate market, and And the uncertainty kind of hangs over everyone's head. First, no one knows what's exactly going to happen in the market, or they wouldn't be on the news or online talking about it. They'd be sitting fat and happy somewhere on an island or wherever else they'd like to sit. And the point is, stop, stop, stop listening to all the predictions and crap out there, because that's all it is. It's crap. The best way to handle the current real estate market is to purchase property. And by the way, not just single-family homes. We've bought our office building, we've bought 6 units, 4 units. You can buy planes, cars, it doesn't matter. The terms business has existed since the late 1800s and probably earlier than that, right? But as far as I can read back to some of the most wealthiest people on the planet, they did terms. And so the best way then To handle the current state of the market is to what? Is to purchase property that has structured proper terms so as not to affect you, not to affect your family, and not to affect your family's assets or anything else you're doing. And so that you have time for things to happen in the market. Time meaning the length of the term you have on these properties. Very, very important. Example, our office building. that we house our companies, and it also has 2 other tenants, and it has our studio. It's a 20-year note. I don't give a rat's butt what happens to the market. I really don't. In fact, general comment for all of you listeners, you wicked smart listeners, when the market slows down again, I'm going to celebrate. You can buy more properties easier, and people get out of their own way and not think that this grand illusion that they're going to get all this money for their property. Things will get back to normal. Now, this situation that we're dealing with is all about being adaptable and staying active, especially and particularly when others, the population, are thinking that they shouldn't buy. My wife just reminded me last week, she said, do you remember in 2013 when everybody thought you were nuts to be accumulating properties on terms? Some of which I have to this day, which have multiple 6 figures in them. So all that to say, this is a world full of people who get up every day and do whatever it takes no matter how long it takes to accomplish all of their goals? Is that what you see out there? Unfortunately not. So, why would you follow the masses? How do you learn, by the way, how to become the most adaptable and thrive in all these markets and these situations I'm talking about when the masses are going in a different direction? Well, I've said it in past shows. You hang out with, you listen to individuals who have gone through market cycles and who have built and thrived. thrived. I didn't say like survive and get by, that's like going backwards. Thrived through storms like 9/11, like COVID, like the economic changes, because success does certainly 100% of the time leave clues. And there's no reason whatsoever for you not to have access to those individuals and those techniques and those special terms structuring in the real estate world in order to thrive. There's just no reason not to have access to that. So, hone in on that, niche in on that, dig in on that. Given that, I don't want you guys to miss an episode. So, you just can't. Last week alone, I spoke with Steve Sims, that's 2 Ms, Sims, and Brian Walsh. Look those guys up, guys, before the episode comes out even. Both have weathered storms, both have had personal challenges like me, both are having enormous success, both are amazing people to listen to. You're going to love our chat. Now, are you noticing that that's what we do with guests? I've said it in a lot of my intros, but are you noticing it? We are seriously upleveling our guests, type of guests, time in the entrepreneurial world, time in the real estate world, on and on and on. We did another episode last week that you'll see coming out, um, that had— the gentleman had 600 properties. He's starting to convert those to rent-to-own. So please don't miss any episodes. Go to your favorite podcast app like iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, and subscribe. Now, while you're there subscribing and following, give us a rating and review for these episodes. You can do it twice a week. Your feedback is number one why we're in 96+ countries. That's cool. But what's cool is that we pick 2 per week from the reviews sent in, and we load up the winner that we pick with product, with gear, with event tickets, and more. So just take a screenshot of your, of your rating and review and email it over to podcast At smartrealestatecoach.com, and you could be picked. Here's this week's review that was randomly selected. I'll read it as usual. Awesome podcast, tons of information handed to you. Chris and the entire SREC team— Smart Real Estate Coach, that stands for, for you newbies— Chris and the entire SREC team are totally unique in the investing world. They practice what they preach and are driven to help others succeed in real estate. This podcast is top-notch and Chris's knowledge is invaluable. Well, thank you. Um, I'll try to put my head out the door here after you said all those cool things, and I'll let you know who sent that in a little bit later. All right, buckle in here while we bring you the next solo class. Um, you know, I want to talk to you a little bit, uh, tell you a story, but it's a real story, and it's about my month of April this year, 2021. And you know me well enough now, even if you're new to the show, just listen to a few shows and you'll pick up on this, I hope, to know that it's not to brag or to say, look at me, not at all. I don't have an ego attached to it. I'm long past having a freaking ego about what I do or how I act or how I do what I do. I was speaking with my friend, my dear friend and accountability partner, Stephen Weston. I hope he's hearing this episode. Again, he always has good ideas. And he said, what you did that month, Chris, has a lot of lessons for your Wicked Smart community and your Wicked Smart listeners.
Yeah.
And you should share that. So I'd like to hear from you personally after this episode. I'm inserting this up front for a reason. I'd like to know if anything I share with you today on this solo cast gives you a nugget, an aha, an idea of some sort, some hope perhaps, anything. I want to hear from you. I invite you to email me personally at chris@smartrealestatecoach.com. And because my assistants are the ones that help me manage that email. Please put in the subject line this phrase: please give to Chris personally. I'd like your feedback, and I'd also be happy to answer any questions or even help you with a call if you hear something that you think I could help you with. Let's talk, and let's not do it through a scheduling system. Let's do it directly through my personal email with Smart Coach that the team will get and forward to me. Now, Following the end of the month, so you get an idea here, the end of March we had our Biz Scaling event. And by the way, side note, our Summer of Deals event is coming up here in just 10 days as of the release of this on June 2nd. So be sure to register for that. It's virtual, it's one day, and it's events all day. You want to talk about weathering these storms? You want to talk about creating 3 paydays that we trademarked in the United States? You got to get after this event, guys. Summer of Deals. Go to summerofdeals.com. That's my diversion. So, after the Business Scaling event, Kim and I took off to a house we rented up in Vermont with some gorgeous mountain views. Now, a whole bunch of thoughts come to mind for me just saying that as I reflect on the month. First of all, if you told me that was possible back in the 2008, 2012, I'll call it the digout, for lack of a better freaking word, from the crash, or when I was in the driveway back in around 2008 and a tow truck showed up to take one of our vehicles, or when Kim and I were in our one-bedroom apartment in 2012 or '13 for several years, I would have said that's far-fetched, Chris. You're not going to get away a month. Can't even afford a month. So, if you're struggling in any way now, I don't care if it's COVID or from other challenges, or God forbid, if you're still wrestling with the last crash, I hope not, or anything else you're wrestling with, or just haven't broke through yet financially, I get you and I want to help you. Don't forget to email me, chris@smartrealestatecoach.com. I'm inviting you to reach out. I speak a lot about the, um, the stage Kim and I are at now in our business, in our life, and our personal why. I've shared it on past solo casts. I shared at our events. Most of you Wicked Smart listeners, or at least if you're in the community as an associate working, doing deals with us and locking arms with us, you know what, what my why is. But it's to help, for those of you that don't know, as many people create— individuals and families create the lifestyle of their dreams. While also creating amazing experiences with our own family simultaneously. That's my why versus the company why. They're both tied. Our company purpose, for example, is to empower individuals and families to create the life of their dreams. That's our purpose. That's what we live by. That's what we recite at our offsites. That's what we coach on. That's what we train on. That's why we coach and train. Our focus personally then is to make the money, not for the money, not for material things, is to make the money, create the wealth to be able to do the things that money and wealth can't buy. And that is specifically for Kim and I creating experiences for the family. During this month, April, we were visited up in Vermont by our son Nick, our daughter Kayla, son-in-law Zach, and Zach's also my partner here with Smart Real Estate Coach, as well as our grandkids Remy and Bellamy, and my parents came up. We created some amazing experiences. You can't take those away. I invite some of you to be thinking about that for your life. Creating experiences. It's not about the material crap. It's about experiences. That's feeding our personal WHY. Now, let me pause there for a second. I encourage you to explore your WHY on your own, but we'll help you. There's a particular exercise, for example, I walk many of our High Six associates through on personal training to help them— on the one-on-one trainings— to help them dig deep.
Yeah.
On this why concept. Now, if you're not an associate, as part of that email I suggested you send to me, I invited that you send to me, send me your why. If and only if you're open to some coaching on digging deeper and developing one that can really move you. I promise you there won't be one email you send, for any one of you, that I go, got it, perfect, you nailed it. I'm sure I can help you dig deeper. And I don't mean that to be negative. I mean, I can help you go deeper. Now, what I'd encourage you to do if you haven't written one, or even if you want to rewrite it before sending it to me, don't get tripped up by what Tony Robbins calls the tyranny of the how. And that is us all, we're all guilty of it. I'm going to tell you a story a little bit here about how I get into my own head a little bit several years ago. The tyranny of the how is, well, I can't do that because of this, or it doesn't work for me because of this. It doesn't work in my market, doesn't work in my price range. I can't have a bigger why till I get this fixed. I can't, I can't, I can't, and here's why. You get caught up in the tyranny of the how. I'm talking about projecting out like I had the High Six people do for a year-end statement of 12/31/21. I'm asking you for like a 10-year, like go out as far as you can possibly see, create that why, don't get caught up by the how. Okay? Well, listen, I mean, back during Nick's head injury, I'll give you some examples here in 2003 or during 9/11. because I went through that, or during 2008 crap I had to deal with, I could have easily said, oh, I can't because I couldn't see the how. I definitely couldn't see the how. That was a mess. All those things I just told you about were a mess. But I somehow kept an eye, not all the time, I'm human, kept an eye on that goal, and I'll share that with you shortly. But I want to talk about what's important along that journey. I did a mastermind call for our associates, and again, I'm encouraging all of you all of you to get your butt into our associate community to put yourself in a position to create fortunes in the next decade. But on May 6th, I did a mastermind call on the topic with one of our associates, Lauren Murnick, a certified coach and a High 6 associate. Topic was open and closed mindset. And it had to do with— it goes deep and I'm going to give you a book to read, but it had to do with not losing sight despite challenges. So, during all the crap and those episodes, those life events I went through, Not losing sight of some of our goals. Now, those challenges, I promise you, even though they seemed insurmountable to me and some of yours seem insurmountable to you, I get it. But they're not earth-shattering in the big picture. They're really not. They're speed bumps. It's not death. They're just speed bumps. And they make us stronger with the right mindset. So this open and closed mindset is interesting. I'll weave it throughout here as I think of different examples. But closed would be For example, I labeled myself after 2008 that that was a failure, and therefore— now, I didn't do this consciously, but in hindsight, I look back and say, I absolutely was labeling myself. It crippled me. And it was tough to get out of that mental loop. Were you labeled when you were younger? Are you labeling yourself now for certain episodes or life events or sicknesses or economic shifts that are happening to you? It's just one thing. It's just one event. It's not dictating the future. Promise you that, having gone through it. Give you an example. Bill Reich, high 6 associate. We're actually partners now in several deals, way past him capping out as an associate because they only do so many deals with us. Bill had a tough year in '20. It wasn't COVID. It wasn't COVID at all. It was bad decisions with deals. Go check out the deal structure video. I think it's actually out sometime— no, it's not a deal structure. It's going to be a video on YouTube somewhere around the 22nd. Of, uh, May, somewhere around there. Anyway, check that out and you'll see that Bill actually was labeling himself and getting into this hole. And guess what? He maintained and dug out, and in 8 weeks realized a little over $300,000. I think it was $340,000 or $360,000 hard cash, guys, not 3 paydays on the books. So it does pay off. This stuff pays off, but it's work. If it were easy, everyone would do it. And everybody would be captioned 3 paydays because the mental piece is huge. It doesn't happen that easily. Give you another label. I was in a reading class in junior high. They labeled me that I wasn't labeled to go ahead and move on to a language. That got in my head. It went all through till high school. I was in a special class. Ben Hogan, famous golfer, they called him clumsy, unable to succeed in golf. He defied them. Oprah, whatever else, she was told a whole bunch of things why she wouldn't succeed, a whole bunch of things. And she succeeded, right? Understatement. Here's another example. NASA. NASA picks people— I never knew this— with a history of failures versus strings of successes. Yeah. So as David Neehrus, who was on a past podcast— go back and listen to him, I'm sorry I don't have the episode number— said, embrace the suck. Like, there's a reason you're going through certain things. Embrace the suck. Here's another example, and I'll move on. Jack Welch, CEO, I think it was GE. He based his hiring on what he called runway. And what he defined as runway was the new hiree's capacity for growth. Their capacity for growth. He wanted to know if they could keep growing, not they had this huge success flawless one-time label. So what do successful people do? Or better yet, what do exceptional people do? They convert life setbacks into future successes. Let me, let me insert another like open and close thing here. So open mindset, concerned about improving constantly and not being stuck with one label from say one event, just constantly improving. Closed mindset, concerned with how they're being judged and kind of like now, like in time, and they get stuck with that. So judge, judgment, oh, you suck in 2008, Chris, therefore you can't build a business. I'm just being general. Uh, Bill, oh, you had these problem decision, so therefore you suck and you shouldn't do any more terms deals. No, no, none of that at all. That's closed mindset though. So, at the Business Scaling Secrets event, I'll talk about it here in a little— in a few minutes, Brian Tracy, I think you're living under a rock if you don't know who he is. If you don't, Google him. He's written over 70 books. He's talked to millions and millions and millions of people. He talked about the 7-year entrepreneur cycle, and I'll just give it to you briefly. The first few years, he said, Chris, it's gonna suck. Back to David Norris's Embrace the Suck. He said, the next few years you're going to start getting your legs, and the last few you're going to have huge success. Here's the issue, he said. That's the recipe, he said on the podcast episode. And I, I— it's not my fingertips, but by the time this is over, I'll probably find it for you. What he said on the episode, uh, actually here it is, 269. Episode 269 is Brian Tracy's episode. Go catch it. What he said was, um, the problem is, yeah, you have the recipe, Chris, and I just gave you a 7-year recipe, but most people are not willing to do that. They're not willing to do that. Now, I'm roughly 7 years in one of our entities, the most successful one. So, it probably begs the question from you, well, what about all those other years, Chris? The 7-year cycle didn't work. No, it didn't. But I'll tell you that in hindsight, I'm super glad that I took the path I did. It's funny, Kim, you probably heard this comment before on my solo casts. Kim looked at me just before we moved out of the apartment several years ago, before we built this house that I'm sitting in finally. And said, wow, it took you 50 years to get here? That was 5 years ago, meaning at age 50 we had figured it out with the businesses. And I'd say that kiddingly, she said it kiddingly, but she literally laughed and said, it took you freaking 50 years to get here? So anyway, side note. Now, as kids, I mentioned earlier, did you have labels, right, when you were a kid? Well, as kids, think about it, we were avid learners, right? We're like sponges. So what the heck happens over time? Exposure. I don't know how else to say it. I just wrote that little line in my journal here to mention exposure. It's so super important. Like, as a kid, here's one I found in another book. Might have been even the same book I'm about to give you. But Mia Hamm, a famous soccer player, she went and seeked it. Like, she seeked out higher learners— higher-level players, I should say. But, but for her, it's a learning process. She would go to the boys team, then she'd go up level, older kids. And she did that throughout her whole life. And that was the exposure she had. So she continued her trek, but it wasn't easy because life, people, society get in the way. Media crap, it all gets in the way. Okay, so another insert. Open mindset, thrive on seeking. A win is doing challenging things, not easy, and learning from it and like loving it. Like, this isn't easy, awesome, I must be, must be growing, must be learning. Closed mindset, thrive on safety. Too hard, quit. The only win is like, if I can be perfect right now. No, you, you can't be perfect right now, especially if you're trying something new. And the closed mindset doesn't agree with that. The closed mindset says, well, you either have it or you don't. That's a bunch of crap. Those people I mentioned didn't have it according to society. All right, enough of that rant. Wicked smart listeners, I would be remiss not to direct your attention to the case studies we have on our YouTube channel, Smart Real Estate Coach. Just type that into the YouTube search. You're going to see some people getting amazing results. You're going to see our own deals. We have over 100 deals broken down there for you, so you can do it yourself. You can absolutely run with that and do it yourself. Or if you want to work with me personally, I am looking for three people that want to complete their first deal on terms in the next 120 days. But we only work with serious and committed. So if you're serious and committed and you want to get that done in the next 120 days, go ahead and email Kristen K R I S T E N at. She is my personal assistant and we'll set up a call with you and I. We'll spend 15 minutes on that strategy call. And in that 15 minutes, we'll determine where you are now, where you're trying to go, and what we got to do to bridge that gap. The other things that I reflected on up in Vermont were the individuals that I've met pointedly and serendipitously that have catapulted our relationships, our business, our lifestyle, frankly, in general. And to that, I ask you to reflect on who you hang out with because it really does matter. It mattered to Mia Hamm. The exposure has more to do with your path and more to do with your next 5, 10, and 20 years than you can possibly imagine. Just trust me on that and choose wisely. Check out the episode that I did recently with, with Mr. Steve Sims, S-I-M-M-S. Get his book Bluefishing, and you'll see why and how it's so important to choose wisely. And I, quite frankly, I'll put a shameless plug in here. If you're not hanging out with us at our 4 events every year— one is a 2-day, one is a 3-day, and 2 are 1-days— and right now they're still virtual. So by nature of that, how would you not find time if you know ahead of time? So as of this coming out in 10 days, if you're not hanging out with me at summerofdeals.com, go there and grab your ticket for like freaking $100. It's not— it's stupid cheap. I'm— it's like embarrassing if you say I can't go to that event for a day. I can't put aside a day, not even a full day of my life for $130 or $140 or $150, I don't even know what the price is, dollars, and be able to learn potentially through a 3-payday system that could like feed me for a decade or more for my family and affect my family generationally? I don't know. I'm not going to rant on that a lot, but you need to be at these events and hang out with us. This is a big issue here of getting you over the hump and getting you through the 7-year cycle. And then there's the whole issue of becoming an authority. That, you know, if we didn't focus on becoming an authority in our space, we wouldn't have anything that we have right now. And I wouldn't be sharing with you some of the goals that we've accomplished. The other thing we got done to pivot while we're up in Vermont is that we accomplished, apropos to this conversation, a 30-year goal of purchasing a beautiful piece of land on 10 acres abutting an absolutely amazing resort and historic property with views of 3 mountain ranges. It'd be Almost 360 if there weren't trees. Now, that was all done with no debt created on the property. Now, I'm not saying it to say, look at us— I said that in the opening— or to impress you in any need. I don't need to. I don't care to do that. I'm saying it to say, if I can do that from being millions in the red 2008 to 2012, so can you. And at the same time, I want to impress upon you the possibility right at your fingertips with the right guidance and exposure. The path's there, guys. We can help. We can help you as a Wicked Smart listener. I promise you that. I encourage you to lock arms with us and let the rest unfold. And I'm not, not, not telling you it's going to be easy. It's not going to be easy. Expect trying times. Expect emotional times. Expect to maybe be in tears sometimes. Expect all of that. But know that that 7-year cycle is absolutely amazing, and reward is an understatement. The past is, we can help. Okay? The wicked smart community is changing lives. Why not you? Changing lives because, as I said earlier, that's our purpose. It's not a pitch. Go do it with someone else if you want, for goodness' sake, but do it. Meaning get after it. If you don't like the terms, Nish, get after it with someone that cares about you and where you're going. Not someone— I won't mention names. I just left one of the other individuals in our space, in our education and mentoring space. I just left him a message last week. We were supposed to do a joint venture together, and he said his exact words, where I can make more money selling some product. And I said, whoa, whoa, whoa, so-and-so, you're forgetting why we connected. We connected because the Smart Real Estate Coach team and family gives a shit about people, and this is a process that takes time. And if you're out to just make a buck and sell your product, which you're a really good marketer, so you can do, then I guess we're not a fit. We don't fit. We want to get deals done. We want to change lives. You don't do that by selling a product and not caring where they go. All right, so I spoke about the 7-year cycle earlier for all entrepreneurs, uh, and Brian Tracy did, and at the last Business Scaling event I brought it up again. And the one Brian really goes into more depth in that podcast episode, whatever I just gave you for a number, 269, I think it is. Well, because it's been about 7 years since we launched the coaching side of the business, it's not coincidental that all this is going on. It's also not coincidental That, like I tell all of you to do, we've been stacking things year after year, month after month, quarter after quarter. We've been stacking things to become the authority, to provide value. All the time we're doing that. It's actually the theme of our upcoming QLS Live— it's going to be virtual— event in September. We have shirts. You can go to our wickedsmartgear.com site and the shirts just keep stacking. See, the stacking and the pieces that were put together as we built our authority position All around North America contributed to this personal journey I'm sharing with you. Very, very, very directly linked to it. And I encourage you to master this stacking concept with our help. And I also encourage you to become the authority in your marketplace. It is a game changer for you. All you got to do is say, yes, yes, I'm in. Show me how to do this, Chris. Now, Kim and I made a few shitty decisions prior to OA crash, which led to some tough times. Despite that, what do we have to do? And I'm not saying it was easy and it was conscious. I'm just looking back. We maintain our goal to build near the water in Newport after getting devastated and having to leave a house, and we maintained our goals to be in the mountains as well. Now, it's not circumstance-driven, it's mindset-driven. There's an open mindset that I've been sharing with you that bobs and weaves and seeks solutions, which we painfully did, Kim and I. during those years. And there's a closed mindset that shuts it off and says things like, well, I guess that's not meant to be, or see, I told you it might not work, or see, I told you you suck, whatever it might be. I encourage you to learn and put into practice the open mindset. So go grab the book that I promised you. It's called Mindset by Dr. Carol Dweck. Now, when I coach— my coach personally, my CEO coach suggested to me, I was a little surprised because usually he'll give me leadership and communication and Relationships. Give me all those types of books so I can build this team that's going to go off and do tens of millions of dollars in business. That takes team building. And then he gave me this one. I said, that's interesting. I'm going to trust it. And I read it. I'd ask that you trust it and go read it. You can go to our recommended reading section on our smartrealestatecoach.com, or you can just go to Amazon and buy that one. I don't care, but go buy it. Mindset by Carol Dweck. Now, the other piece as I wrap up to your journey and/or your journey with your family and loved ones is to celebrate wins. So, I am kind of wrapping up my journey here. Big and small, celebrate wins. We did just that with the family by surprising them with our journey, by surprising them with our goals that we met during this Vermont visit. We brought them to the land. We had the grandkids running around. We took pictures. We had a blast. In one of the Family Friday emails several weeks ago, I think it was May 7th, those pictures went out to you. I hope you saw them. It is important to celebrate wins with the family. This journey, this journey is never easy, guys, and the next 10 years won't be either. But if you focus like a laser, get around the right people, and have the open mindset, you're going to have an amazing life that you won't even believe. All right, lastly, one of the things I look forward to while unplugging from the day-to-day, and one more kind of thought reflection of my trip, is to find out where the holes are in the boat, meaning gaps or improvements needed in our business, our own business, and my own development and leadership. It's a fantastic test to unplug, and it's not easy, so try it. I don't care if you're by yourself or with one part-time assistant or a large team. Try unplugging completely. In your case, I'm not saying try a month, for a few days, even one day at first, or a month, or anything in between. I'm talking phone off, email off, unplug. You'll rapidly and clearly find out where you are in your businesses and what's needed if you were to 10 times it. You'll know. You'll see it clearly. That's what I got out of the rest of that trip. Now, can your journey, or more specifically your dream and your goals, survive and thrive without you going through a lot of this? I don't think so. So what improvements are needed for you? What ACCA is needed? If you're new to the community, ACCA stands for action, taking action, critiquing that action with a coach, adjustments made, And then taking action again. It's a cycle. It's action, critique, adjust, action. It doesn't say action, critique, oh shit, I quit, this is hard. So, what improvements, what Acker is needed in your life, in your business? What fixes, in other words, are needed? What tweaks? So, what's next for you and your loved ones? It's your choice. All right then, wicked smart listeners. I'm looking at my journal. I could keep going, but I'm going to cut it off here at about 20, 25 minutes. That does wrap up another solo cast. I hope you pulled something out of this episode, guys, that you can act on because I was going on a bit of a rant. I want to hear from you. I want you to use that email I gave you. I want you to rate the show. I don't know what it is for you for an action item. Is it as simple as going and buying the book? Is it as simple as registering for upcoming summerofdeals.com or qlslive.com? I hope that's freaking bare minimum. Certainly, the email to me is a simple one. Let's do that and let's get a why session together. You know, people say I can't reach mentors. How do you reach me? I'm telling you how to reach out to us with my personal email.
