Welcome to Honor Roll. And now, here's your host, Mike Michalowicz.
Cigarette break. Welcome to Honor Roll. I'm your host, Mike Michalowicz, and I want to thank our sponsors: Skype, Amex, DexOne, Prevendis Group, Thank you for supporting what entrepreneurs do, because we know you guys were all small like us one time, and now you're big, and we're a little bit envious, but we're really pumped that you're supporting us, so you're pretty cool.
Okay, let's talk about today's tip. This one's a doozy.
It's all about secrets. You know nothing spreads like a secret? If you tell people, hey, I got this great new thing, tell everybody, they tell no one. But if you say, I got this great new thing, but You gotta promise me something. Tell nobody. And this is what it's all about. Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh. Ooh, people will tell everybody. It's called gossip. It's called gossip, entrepreneurs. And you can spread gossip about your business just by making it secret. Now don't do something real cheesy and say, hey, don't tell anyone about this new product I have for sale, and you know, I have enough for everyone in the whole world. Don't do that crap. Actually implant a secret. Maybe design something funky in your logo that no one knows about and just tell a few customers. Maybe infuse gold into your alcohol like Goldschlager. Do something and then tell only a few people to keep it secret. They'll become your best allies because they will tell everyone.
