Izzy taught phone photography at a glass house retreat in New York, focusing on the rule of thirds and background blur instead of centering subjects. Speaker A says these techniques fundamentally changed how they take pictures, resulting in consistently better photos.
I find also these retreats are very expansive in learning. One of my favorite retreats was in New York in that kind of glass house thing. I think it was Izzy who gave us a training in photography on our phones. Oh yeah, that was so cool. So cool. And then she's like, let's go out and take pictures. And I've taken pictures ever since radically differently, much better as a result of that.
We learned something.
Yeah. I used to be like object in center. She's like, no. Rule of two-thirds. Right. Rule of two-thirds. And blurring the background. These different techniques you could.
Yeah. It's always a learning experience too, which I've always appreciated. Appreciated as well.
