We joined in April of 2020 right in the middle of COVID We're in Elite Trailblazers Business Mastery and Trailblazers Leads Mastery. I think we joined in April of 2020 and we kind of were on the Facebook group following it for almost a year. So I would say I wish I would have joined a year prior, you know, wish I would have joined right away.
We, we kind of phased into the different levels of Wiser. We, we joined Elite and then we, we did that for maybe a year and then we moved into the Trailblazer group. Then we, I moved into the Leads Mastery and our business continues to get polished as we move forward with the various programs in the Wiser group. From a sales standpoint, from a marketing standpoint, you know, we essentially went from really knowing nothing about marketing and having nothing in place. Our business was all word of mouth previously. So this was really putting some structure and process into our marketing efforts and it's really allowed us to not only focus on getting ourselves out there in the market, but also building the internal processes for when we need to hire a marketing person, when we need to hire a salesperson, how those handoffs should work and the importance of understanding what a cold lead is and how you warm that up into someone who's eventually going to buy into your full plan. It's also helped us provide clarity for who we are. Right when you transfer into marketing. For us, it was the first time we were trying to put ourselves in our clients shoes and saying, you know, what do we do? Not from our perspective, but from their perspective. So that exercise alone has been really good for the organization. I feel like we have a more concise, clear direction and message out to our client now and then of course we've got a dedicated person internal that helps us drive all the marketing efforts for us in the Wiser program, specifically Leads Mastery, the addition of the VA was huge in accelerating our efforts there and we've really gotten comfortable with that va. Very accessible to the point where I consider her to be an extension of the team. So our ability again to scale efforts, to stand up, landing pages, to build workflows, the VA has been really important for us there.
It allows us to scale, I mean Matt kind of handles the sales and marketing, but it allows us to focus, allows me to focus on other aspects of the business and the strategy and the growth and not as much on the day to day and where's our next dollar going to come from? You know, we now have a roadmap and we have a pipeline and it's continuously being added to. I mean anyone on the fence. It's a simple thing. I mean we quadrupled our MRR and we're growing. So it's one of those simple things. Look at the ROI on it. You know we're getting a 100 to 1 ROI on the investment.
So I know for us one of the big differences in this program specifically because we've done either vendor specific shows where you're around a lot of colleagues, you know, big convention halls, we've even done other industry organizations and those seem very trade show like where you're going basically to a grocery store and you come back to your shop with a cart full of stuff because you basically shop when you were hungry. Wiser is so much more niched and focus for like minded business owners. And so we really get a lot like we basically clear our schedule and don't do any other events other than this one because it is quality, right? The people we meet here. The other, your accessibility to other business owners, not ones that want to compete and put you out of business or it's, it's, it's kind of like sounds so stupid but it's kind of like you get a little bit of that family vibe here because everyone's kind of rowing in the same direction. We all want the same things for our business and we all kind of want to do it at a same level. So yeah, if you're on the fence, be decisive. You know, if you're going to do something. I think for us even, you know, I asked for it to be like my Christmas present and so that's how we ended up doing it. But just go for it.
