Charles Hudson brings founders from outside the Bay Area to experience the region's faster pace firsthand. Working out of local offices and meeting other founders shows them how differently people operate there. Most return with a new sense of how much speed matters in Silicon Valley.

We've had some founders not in the Bay Area, and I'm like, this person doesn't have a good speed meter. And I've brought those folks out to the Bay Area and had them work out of our office and meet founders here, and invariably they come back and go, oh, that's what I'm supposed to be doing. Oh, we had no idea people were doing that, that they were working in that way, they were working that quickly.
