In this solo introductory episode of the Longevity and Lifestyle Podcast, host Claudia von Boeselager—former Goldman Sachs banker turned longevity coach and biohacker—shares her personal journey from burnout and chronic health issues to reversing her biological age by 17 years. She explains that her mother’s rapid cognitive decline sparked a deep personal mission to prevent and reverse brain aging. Claudia outlines a five‑part "Brain Optimization Blueprint" series that will cover (1) neuroplasticity and brain optimization, (2) stress resilience and emotional regulation, (3) gut‑brain and metabolic health, (4) love, purpose, and psychedelic science, and (5) her own proprietary brain longevity protocol (habits, supplements, tests, tools). She name‑checks a roster of expert guests she has interviewed—Dr. Dale Bredesen, Dr. David and Dr. Austin Perlmutter, Dr. Kristen Willameyer, Dr. Dave Rabin, Dr. Julia Jones, Sean Wells, Garnet Dupree, Talia Eisenberg, among others—highlighting the breadth of scientific perspectives she will draw upon. The episode also includes a sponsorship read for Timeline’s Mitopure (a urolithin A postbiotic that supports mitochondrial health) and multiple calls to action: subscribe to the podcast, book a complimentary longevity coaching call, and sign up for a short email newsletter at llinsider.com. Throughout, Claudia emphasizes that up to 90 % of Alzheimer’s cases are preventable, that brain fog and cognitive decline are not inevitable, and that listeners can take concrete steps to protect and enhance their brain health at any age.

Today. Hello, my friends, and welcome back to the Longevity and Lifestyle Podcast, where we explore the cutting-edge strategies to live better for longer. I'm your host, Claudia von Boeselager, peak performance coach, longevity expert, biohacker, and more. And today I'm kicking off a special multi-part solo series on a topic that's become both deeply personal and professionally essential to me: brain health and mental optimization. So why has brain health become my mission? Well, the journey started with my mother. She was warm, intelligent, vibrant, the kind of person that really lit up a room. But then slowly, subtle changes started to show. She began repeating stories, forgetting details, incessantly writing things down, losing confidence in situations that used to be second nature, accumulating in a head trauma incident that really expedited her decline. At first, we initially chalked it up as, you know, normal aging. But eventually the signs became undeniable. She had cognitive decline. Watching someone you love fade away, losing their joy, their vitality, their love of life, their clarity, even parts of their identity, it isn't just heartbreaking, it's destabilizing for everyone around them and causes so much suffering. For me, for my father, my rest of my family, it was really painful, confusing, and filled with unanswered questions. Why aren't we talking more about prevention? And countless medical professionals we had spoken to didn't pick it up on time and just wrote it off as unpreventable. And the question is, you know, why do we wait until it's too late to take brain health seriously? And most importantly, what can be done? And that really put fire in me. It sent me into the science. It inspired my work on this podcast, and it's what led me to interview some of the world's most brilliant minds in neuroscience, longevity, and mental wellness, such as Dr. Dale Bredesen on reversing Alzheimer's and cognitive decline. Dr. David Perlmutter and Dr. Austin Perlmutter, his son, on inflammation, neurodegeneration, the impact of food and what we eat on our brain and brain health. Dr. Kristen Willameyer, the former director of brain imaging from the Amen Clinics, on brain scans, nutrition, and all her protocols that she's been using for her patients. Dr. Dave Rabin on heart-brain coherence, emotional regulation. And psychedelics as well. Dr. Julia Jones on music, rhythm, and brainwaves. Sean Wells on mitochondrial health and smart supplementation. Garnet Dupree and Talia Eisenberg on neuroplasticity and psychedelic therapy, and so many more. These conversations have changed my understanding of what's truly possible for the brain, and this series is my way of giving that transformation back to you.

But first, let's look at why brain health and why now. We are living through a silent epidemic. Brain fog, burnout, anxiety, mood swings, memory loss. It's becoming the new normal, even for high performers. And the most devastating part is that 1 in 3 seniors now dies with Alzheimer's or another form of dementia. I've seen firsthand what that looks like, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. But here's the most hopeful part of all. Up to 90% of Alzheimer's cases are preventable, and even issues like brain fog, low focus, and emotional dysregulation can be reversed once you understand the root causes and apply the right tools. So this series is here to empower you, dear audience, to help you take brain health into your own hands, whether you're 35, 55, or 85. What to expect from this series, the 5-part journey: in the upcoming episodes, I'll guiding you through the pillars of the Brain Optimization Blueprint. We'll be looking at brain optimization and neuroplasticity, how to protect your brain and rewire it for clarity, creativity, and peak performance, featuring some of these amazing luminary guests I've had. Stress resilience and emotional regulation, from chronic stress to emotional mastery, again, bringing in expertise from some of the world's leading pioneers and experts in this space. Number 3 is the gut-brain connection and metabolic health, looking at how digestion, blood sugar, and daily habits affect cognition and much more around this. And then another area I find super fascinating around love, purpose, and psychedelic science, because we know connection is so important. So looking at the role of connection, meaning, and cutting-edge treatments, featuring a lot of the different experts that I've had on, and also looking at my personal brain longevity protocol, some of the habits, supplements, the tests and tools that I that I use regularly as well, and a few bonuses along the way. So if this resonates with you and how you can be part of this brain health revolution, make sure to subscribe to the podcast so you don't miss a single episode in the series.
