And by, I would say by June, July is really when I got that prophetic word of sobriety. It was just one word. I was out for a walk and I thought, well, there's already programs out there. There's AA, there's rehab. Why do you want me to do this? You know, who am I? This imposter syndrome of I can't possibly be the person that leads a movement like this. And, you know, I didn't hear from God after that. It's just that one word. And I thought, okay, let me see what happens. And at the beginning of this broadcast, we were talking about how did LinkedIn blow up? I had put up a post that I was adding this into my business and it was crickets. Okay, not supposed to be doing this. And then the next day I told my story and it just catapulted into this unbelievable way of people coming to me and saying, me too. I've been through that struggle. I've been on that journey. I'm in that journey right now. And I just looked up and I said, I'm choosing God on this one. I'm not relying on self anymore. This has nothing to do with me. I'm going to let him move through me. And it's been like that ever since July, where I have just let God dictate my every move, my every step, my every person that comes my way. And the funny thing is, people will say, I don't even know how I got connected to you. And I just giggle and say, you don't have to. He sent you here. Welcome. Welcome to your, your, your faith journey that you get to embark on.
Yeah, divine intervention. You know, as, as you said that, I was thinking when you was talking about the desert and finding the water, and you say, oh Lord, why are you sending me on this journey? Why? You know, I'm not, you know, built for this. And so I was thinking about, uh, the scripture where they talk about Uh, he say, who shall I send and who shall go for me? And Isaiah say, send me, I'll go. You know, because there's certain things that God sent you with from the beginning that is for somebody else or it's for other people. And so you touched on something earlier, you say that in 2013, I believe you said that, you know, you saved or, you know, you found Christ or around that time, and You know, life is, life is funny sometimes because once you get an inkling of who you are, you start reading and you become into the spirit. Not saying that everything's gonna be perfect, you know, like you said a few years ago, I'm in, I'm in Christ, but the, the walls just blew off, you know, the floor just went up from under me, you know. And, and so sometimes people think that because, oh, I go to church or I read the Bible, I have faith in God, that you won't go through certain trials and tribulations in life. But as you said, it's a test. It was a test. And, and, and I believe that when we get to that point where we do trust in God regardless of what we may be going through— no, I don't like the situation because it's hard, it is rough, and Lord, why are you putting me through this? But there's a silver lining at the end of it. And so I believe that when we do go through those type of things and when we do have Christ in our life, we can absorb it better than if we was just doing it on our own.
We absorb it and we stay curious because we know at the end of the day it's already solved, it's already forgiven, it's already done. You know, he paid the ultimate price for us, so can you expect that it's already completed, already done?
Like when he was on the cross, he said, it's finished, it's finished. So, so, uh, Brittany, along those lines Were there— were there things about yourself or moments in your life that made you feel like you couldn't trust yourself? And how did you overcome that?
Well, dating back to the pandemic, right, 2020, I had a baby in June of 2020, and my whole world flips upside down just like everybody else's. But now I have this infant to take care of, and I love people. I thrive off of people. And so when the people disappeared and, you know, life shut down, I thought 'How am I going to make this work? How am I going to raise this baby? My husband's working in a hospital. How, how am I going to do this?' And it just felt like there was no self-trust whatsoever except feeding this child.
