My name is Terry Adams. I'm an individual contractor for Tactical K-9 Approach. I came to CCU to become a certified bomb dog handler. Me and my dog, we are a patrol explosive detection dog handler. Some of the biggest things that we've learned here at CCU have been letting the dog work on its own, not hugging the dog, and walking them through it. Especially as a bomb dog handler, you definitely want to make sure that you are letting your dog be an individual and work on his own, and you just get them in the productive areas. What I'm hoping to do with the certification is go to schools and government buildings and stuff like that and provide them a service. Scale of 1 to 10, I rate CCU a 10. CCU is a pretty— I've been to a couple of schools, different schools, learning-wise, and CCU has been definitely up there with one of the best. I recommend CCU to anyone that is interested in doing dog handling. When it comes to this, it's not going to be a give-me. It's going to be something that you're going to earn, and you're going to be proud of it once you leave.
