In this vlog, Damion Jenkins (The Nurse Geek) records a brief monologue from Las Vegas at the National Nurses in Business Association (NNBA) conference, marking his seventh consecutive attendance. He explains how the conference has been integral to his business success, sharing that he has both learned transferable skills from speakers and contributed his own experiences to large audiences. Jenkins reiterates his mission to help nurses develop strategies for career success, financial stability, and professional impact. He strongly recommends viewers become NNBA members, highlighting the low annual cost, access to resources, and discounted conference rates. He also gives a quick recap of the conference’s pre‑events—meet‑and‑greet, dinner, drinks, and a pool day—while expressing enthusiasm for networking, learning new strategies, and continuing to support fellow nurses. The video ends with a promise to post more updates from the event.

Hi everyone, it's Damion Jenkins of The Nurse Geek coming to you from Las Vegas, Nevada, where I am at the National Nurses and Business Association conference for the 7th year in a row. That is right, 7 years I've been attending the conference. It's been such an integral, um, component of my business success and my career trajectory and success. I've learned so many transferable skills from the folks who come and speak at the National Nurses and Business Association. I've also been able to share my own experience audiences, with audiences of 300+ people, which, you know, it's truly amazing to say, you know, something that I learned along my way has also helped and impacted so many other people. For those of you who have been following me, you know that that's my mission. My mission is to help nurses develop strategies for success so that way you can get into the profession and stay in the profession and really become that nurse and have that career trajectory that you want and deserve, right? We all want We all want financial stability. We all want to be able to make meaningful impact and really, you know, practice at the highest level of our capacity. And the National Nurses in Business Association has really helped me do that, and I know that they can help you too. So if you're not a member of the National Nurses in Business Association, I highly recommend that you go over to their website, nursesbusiness.com, become a member. It's not a lot of money to become a member on an annual basis. It's actually less than some of the professional organizations out there. You're gonna have so many references and resources available to you, and then you also get discounted rates for the annual conference. And so we haven't gotten word of where next year's conference is gonna be just yet, but here we are in Las Vegas again. So just stay tuned. I'm gonna be posting about the conference. Today is day 1 of the main conference. Yesterday was pre-conferences, meet-and-greet, dinner, drinks. It was a lot of fun. I met some old colleagues and met some new friends and colleagues, and I'm really just happy to be here again. So stay tuned, I'll make more posts. And, uh, yeah, I'm just here in Las Vegas with a gorgeous view of mountains and the Strip behind me, and I had a pool day yesterday, and I'm just really happy to be here again. I'm looking forward to learning new strategies. I learn something new every year that I come, and then I'm, I'm hoping to connect with more people and help them along the way as I may have helped you. So stay tuned, uh, thanks for listening, and I'll be in touch soon. Take care.
