Coordinación Artes Visuales TIVU Julio-Diciembre 2022

In this Spanish‑language presentation, Dania Santos Ramírez, coordinator of the Licenciatura en Artes Visuales at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo (UAEH), outlines the structure, curriculum, admission profile, mobility options, and competencies of the eight‑semester visual arts degree. The program combines theoretical courses (history, theory, philosophy) with extensive studio workshops (sculpture, mural and easel painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, audiovisual/multimedia). The final semester is dedicated to professional practice. Prospective students are encouraged to have a strong curiosity about image creation, practical skill interests, a love of reading, museum visits, and awareness of contemporary visual culture. The coordinator highlights academic mobility opportunities both abroad (Korea, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, New York) and within Mexico through university agreements, noting that many students take advantage of these exchanges. She also describes the competencies graduates develop: research, creative practice, pedagogy, and cultural administration. The talk concludes with an invitation to visit the university’s microsite for more information.
