A residential painting company scaled from $1 million to over $10 million in revenue. Less than 0.5% of painting businesses reach eight figures, partly because residential repaint jobs average $5,000 to $10,000 each, requiring complex operations to manage profitably at scale.
From $1 million to $2 million and up to $5 million, and we're past the 8-figure mark now, producing over $10 million a year in residential repaint.
That's awesome. That's a huge feat. I rarely see someone that large of a painting business. Just generally, obviously, that is a— in any industry, I think it's like below 0.5% of businesses ever reach that mark.
So yeah, it's pretty rare in residential repaint, particularly because there's a lot of moving puzzle pieces. And the complexity of architecture required in your business is not as low as maybe other industries, right? Largely dictated by the average job size, right? So this isn't like, you know, we're not selling helium rocket ships or something. We're selling these, you know, $5,000 to $10,000 tickets. It is more rare in residential repaint than maybe other industries or other segments of painting, like industrial and commercial, just because of the complexity that's required in your org chart.
