A painting contractor shares how Bookkeeping for Painters transformed their finances after years of poor bookkeeping. They doubled their business in the last year and now have clarity on their numbers. The client recommends it to tradespeople managing their own books or looking for a bookkeeper who understands their industry.
Okay, question number 1. How did you hear about Bookkeeping for Painters?
I heard about Bookkeeping for Painters at Paint Summit, the APPC Paint Summit. I think I met Morgan Ray there. That's how I heard about it.
Okay. Were you skeptical?
Always, always skeptical. Yeah, but glad we made the jump.
Why did you join us anyway?
Most is a personal referral, but we were stretched thin and needed— I knew I wasn't really good at the books and wanted to get it professional so I didn't have to worry about that come tax time and have it all, you know, make sense. Have somebody who understood it, right, teach me what they meant.
Awesome. What was the state of your bookkeeping and accounting experience before you worked with us?
The state of my bookkeeping was not great. I mean, I didn't understand where stuff needed to be classified or all that good stuff, so it was nice to put it short.
After you signed up, what specific results have you gotten?
If I had to put it in one word, I'd say clarity, because all the numbers, so I can tell where it's all going and It's good.
And you doubled in the last year.
Yeah.
You did a lot of that hard work. Um, and who would you recommend us to?
Um, people who are doing their own books and know they're not doing it right and need to get out of their own way. Um, and then even people who may have a bookkeeping service already, but are looking for someone who knows the trades. Very well.
