A comedian reflects on being constantly told they look like Bob Saget, which they take as a compliment after working with him a year before he died. They describe him as kind and lovely, then contrast that with a crueler online comment comparing them to a first draft Jeff Goldblum.
Has anyone ever told you you look like Bob Saget? Answer, yes, many times for many years on airplanes, in airports, at restaurants, on the street, and certainly in online comments. Now, as it happens, I actually did an event with Bob Saget about a year before he tragically passed away, and he turned out to be an incredibly nice guy, just a lovely human being. So I'm gonna take that comment as a compliment, and certainly a greater compliment than another online comment from about a year ago that described me as first draft Jeff Goldblum. That one hurt.
