Write one line before bed each night: a thought, a sentence, a question. It signals your brain to wind down, gives you a moment to reflect, and after five years you've built an archive of 1,500 entries that becomes your own library of wisdom.

Every night before I go to bed, I write down one line in this notebook. It can be a thought from the day, a great sentence I read during the day, a question I want to ponder. That's it. This small ritual does 3 things. First, it signals the end of the day. Your brain shifts from work mode to rest mode, making it easier to relax and fall asleep. Second, it's a moment to reflect. A funny thought can help you unwind. A single insight helps capture the day. A deep question might get answered when you wake up. Third, it builds an incredible arc archive. If I write 300 nights a year for 5 years, as I do in this notebook here, that means 1,500 insights, lessons, and ideas. A personal library of wisdom. It takes less than 1 minute, but over time it becomes one of the most valuable things you own.
