Hey, credit heroes, I'm going live right now, so join me on this live. Did you have a great weekend? I had a pretty good weekend, I guess. I was finally able to end quarantine from having Covid, which really sucked. I don't know if you know this, but I went to a big event and I was around a lot of people, and that was careless. And I caught Covid, but I'm all better now. My voice isn't quite back, but it's nice to feel like a normal person again. Anyways, I ended up working the whole weekend, which really kind of sucked. It was a long weekend, but I ended up working. I wasn't working on CRC stuff. I was actually making edits to my friend's book. It's a book about how to start a gym. But what's fascinating is the similarities between his business and my business and your business. They're crazy because all businesses really are the same. You get a customer, you have to be awesome, so they continue to pay you, and then you get more customers. See, all businesses are the same. But writing a book is a really long process. I don't know if I ever want to be a part of that again because it's been too much. Anyways, I'm speaking to you live from our credit repair cloud offices here in very cloudy Venice Beach, California. Kind of cloudy and windy. If you are here with me right now live, drop me a hashtag live down in the comments. Or if you're watching the replay later, give me a hashtag replay. Then I can come back and see who is here. Okay, so today we are talking about evictions. Okay. I'm going to talk about also how to remove evictions from a credit report. Well, the effects of an eviction. But I want to know, have you ever been evicted? Have you? Well, drop it down in the comments. I want to know. I've been evicted. Yes, I was evicted. It sucked. It sucked. I hated every minute of it. My landlord was a jerk. I was the perfect tenant. I was never late on a payment. He evicted me so that he could raise the rent. He was really, really a jerk. Anyways, it's a horrible process for everyone involved. And the worst part is it makes it really hard for the evicted person to try to find a new place to live with this bad mark on their record. It is horrible. It's like having a dark cloud following you wherever you go. And I have that dark cloud and I'd forgotten about it because it was from so long ago. But when this is kind of funny. Not. But when I was first dating my girlfriend Grace, 14 years ago, she did a background check on me, and she saw my eviction from many years earlier, and it was really, really embarrassing. And not only that, it's still there on my public record, which really, really sucks. So back to the topic. Evictions are a complicated problem in the credit world because they don't directly affect credit reports, but credit can be impacted by the circumstances related to the eviction. Okay, so we're talking about evictions today because I don't know if you know this, but a whole eviction tidal wave is about to crash into our economy and credit heroes. You need to prepare for this. See, According to the US Census Bureau, landlords file 3.6 million eviction cases every year. Okay? But this year, we're expected to see three point. Let me think. What is it? 3.8? It's 3.8 million evictions just in the last month and this month alone. That's crazy, right? That's a lot of evictions all of a sudden. And on top of that, the Census Bureau also estimates that 8.5 million tenants are currently behind on their rent. So how did this happen? What can we do about it? And how can we remove their effects from credit reports? Well, you need to tune into my full episode of my podcast today and learn why this eviction tidal wave is hitting us right now and how exactly evictions affect people's credit.
