Over the last 28 days, I've gotten over 350,000 viewers through social media, live streams. There are algorithms, there are trending sounds, but then there are those timeless marketing concepts that have gotten us over 60,000 organic leads over the last few years. The goal is to create a gap between where they're at and where they want to be and have them understand that in order for them to cross that gap, my service is going to be that bridge. Really. Results are not driven from hacks. They're not driven from tricks. They're not driven from dispute letters. If you want to get approvals, here are the three things that you have to do.
Hey, credit heroes. Imagine losing everything. Your job, your income, your stability, and being forced to start all over. That's exactly what happened to our guest today. But instead of giving up, Ricardo Soto used that rock bottom moment as fuel. He rebuilt his own credit, launched a business from scratch, and in just 15, hit the millionaires club, all while changing thousands of lives. And today, he's breaking down exactly how he built it all, how he attracts clients without spending a penny on ads, and how you can do it too. So please welcome back to the podcast, Ricardo Soto. Hey, Ricardo, welcome back.
Welcome, Ricardo.
Thank you guys so much. I appreciate it. Thank you for having me back. It's great to be back.
Really excited you're here. Congratulations on all your success. And now before all this success, I know you went through these financial struggles. Can. Can you take us back to that time and share what was happening and how it inspired you to start all this?
Yeah, sure. So just a quick recap of, you know, back in 2014, 2015, I was a full time musician as well as a manager on duty for. For a bank and nationwide. And I was training to be assistant manager. But then suddenly, you know, life took an unexpected twist. My dad was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2015, and due to the medication that they gave him for the swelling of the brain, he had severe complications. And basically every day that he woke up was like, hey, he made it today. Let's go see him. He's about an hour and 20, an hour and 30 minutes from where we were living at the time. And so because I was so absent at work, they said, hey, it's either your dad or your job. And I said, hey, well, screw you, it's my dad. So I got fired, or I like to say I got promoted to customer, Daniel. You know, so I got promoted to customer from the bank, and then from there, I couldn't afford to pay any of my bills. I kind of took care of credit and, you know, figured out how to get it to that 700 credit score. How back then? I have no idea how back then, but now I feel like I know a thing or two. And so I got into $113,000 of charged off credit cards and two repossessions because I was trying to take care of my family and anything that was needed. Oh, and to put the cherry on top, I declared a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, which, you know, that completely just destroys your credit. That's the magic bullet, right? That will just kill off any, anything on your credit report. So a few years went by and then I realized, oh my gosh, like, credit is a thing. Like, I actually need credit.
Ricardo, I'd love to kind of jump to the topic of marketing because you've, you've done a very successful job of getting a lot of people a lot of leads into your business with no ads, all organic marketing. Can you walk us through just even before we jump into it, like, roughly, like, how many leads have you generated?
And yeah, so through organic marketing, we've generated about 60,000 leads. You know, that doesn't include word of mouth, just people that literally come from social media that fill out a form, a contact form, like, hey, this is my name, this is my email address, this is my phone number. Right. I would like to, to get some help with my credit.
That's incredible. You have such huge social followings too. Around 90, 94,000 on Instagram followers and on TikTok, I've seen you have 486,000 followers or so, Huge social followings that led to all you being able to generate all these leads for your business. Can you walk us through, like, what's the system that you've created to create all this organic content that actually leads into getting leads?
You know, it goes a little beyond just creating videos for sure. Now, don't get me wrong, if it wasn't for, for your guys's videos, I don't think I would be in the industry, but I did something a little bit different. Now most people will try to create videos and try to, you know, create a viral video, the hook, the story, the offer, etc. Right. But I tried approaching lead generation in a bit of a different way. The thing that I was fearful of when it came to creating videos was, am I going to have to dance in these videos? I'm a terrible dancer. I was a, I, I was a touring musician for many years, but God didn't bless me with those dancing Talents. So the way that we've been doing this in our business is going live on social media. So one of the things that we, we figured out along the way is that there are timeless marketing concepts. You see, there are algorithms, there are trending sounds, right? What's going on today, what type of videos can I create, etc. But then there are those timeless marketing concepts that it doesn't matter what platform you're in, it doesn't matter what's going on with the trending sounds or with the news. These things are going to connect human to human because it has to do with not only human psychology, but also human emotion. And today I'm going to be talking to you guys about the three secrets that we uncovered along the way that have gotten us a little over 60,000 organic leads over the last few years. Are you guys ready?
Oh, yeah. Bring it on.
I built our following by delivering timeless marketing concepts instead of trying to keep up with those ever changing trends and algorithms of every different social media channel. And the marketing concepts that I talk about often are the know you, like you and trust you. And the way that I think about these marketing concepts or marketing principles is I want you to envision a pipeline. Now, everyone here that has ever done sales knows what a pipeline is, right? A lead comes in, a lead might not be ready, they might need a little nurturing, they might need a little more, they might need to ask some questions and get some more clarification of what your product or what your service is. So they're moving along through the pipeline, right? Well, it's the same thing with viewers on social media. If you think about it, there is a social media pipeline where somebody doesn't know who you are and that's cold traffic or viewers, and they really don't care about who I am, right? But then suddenly they're looking for something. They're looking for credit improvement, they're looking for a higher credit score. But more than anything, what's most important to them is reaching the goal of getting approved. So when I come in consistently with the right message, then they get to know me, they get to enter my pipeline on social media. When they get to know me, they eventually get to like me. And eventually when they get to like me, they'll get to trust me. The trust part is the most important when I'm trying to capture leads, because when that person or that viewer trusts me, that's when they're willing to actually start working with our company through their credit improvement journey. Now, over the last 28 days, I've gotten over 350,000 viewers who, through social media live streams, using this concept of know you, like you and trust you. So basically, they get to know me, I make them like me, and then at the end of the day, they have no choice other than to trust me. Some of the things that are very rewarding when I do these TikTok lives or these social media live sessions is the feedback that I get from the public, right? And as you guys can see here, we have a few comments here and there for our returning clients who go in and vouch for us when we are doing these live social media sessions. And it's really, really, really touching when they go in and they say those things. Because at the end of the day, people want to see testimonials. People want to know that you're doing a great job before they get to like you or before they get to trust you. I can have the best dispute process in the world, but if I have the worst customer service, no one is coming in and I'm not able to perform the know you, like you and trust you methodology. Now, one of the things that I figured out along the way that, hey, we're making some noise in the industry is when this guy started following me on social media. A question that I got last time that I did this presentation was, Ricardo, how do you actually apply the get to know you like you and trust you formula? And the funny part about the this formula is you have to do it backwards. You have to start first by creating trust, and then comes that I like you because you I was able to trust you, and then I'm getting to know who you are. So in order for me to create trust with people on social media, I actually give them the best of what I got. And one of the questions that I got the last conference that I was a speaker on is, hey, aren't you afraid of giving your best tips or giving your best tricks out? Because then you're losing on potential sales or on potential people who could sign up for your service. And the answer is no. There are so many people out there, right? We're in an industry where so many people need credit help. So when you're giving the best of what you got, you're creating trust. So therefore, I give out my three secrets to credit improvement. And I'll talk about my three secrets with you guys in just a second. For everybody that's viewing this podcast episode, please feel free to copy or steal these strategies, model them after them, but use them so you too can fall into the know you like you and trust you formula, and you too can get those organic leads and grow your social media channels. So once I give the three secrets of credit improvement, people begin to understand that I'm not after their pocket. I'm after giving them value. So the whole I don't trust you guard simply starts falling down little by little. And then eventually, right after my social media spiel, right after I go into teaching mode, then I'll talk about my story. I'll talk about why I got involved into the credit repair industry. I talk about me being a manager on duty for Chase Bank. I'll talk about the fact that my dad was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I'll talk about the fact that I went through a bankruptcy, that I got my cars repossessed. Those are the things that make them feel like I'm one of them. So what I do is I give my intro. And you guys heard my intro already. My name is Ricardo. I'm a credit improvement expert. I've done a lot of things right, but I've also done a lot of things wrong, right? And then I say, look, I hired a credit repair company to help me fix my credit. And guess what happened?
Nothing.
And then I asked the magical question, do I have anyone here that has ever hired somebody and you paid him hundreds of dollars and nothing changed. And they're like, oh my gosh, me. And I'm like, well, you probably did what I did. I hired a second company. And guess what happened? Nothing. And at that point I decided I got to figure this out on my own. Because you see, I'm not better than you, you're not better than me. You and I are both the same and we have equal opportunities in life as long as we are still living and breathing. So I said to myself, if they are having success, why am I not? If they're getting approvals, why am I not? I need to figure this out. I must be missing a key to the puzzle here. So then I went on a learning spree, a learning curve. And for four months straight, I would wake up at 3:30 in the morning every day and I learned everything I could about credit. And what is a credit score and what is fico and what is the Fair Credit Reporting act and how negative items are deleted. And then along the way, I figured out that there are three things that you have to work on when most credit repair companies only focus on one. So here are the three secrets that took me four months to learn, but four and a half years to implement. Secret number one is removing incomplete or unverifiable negative items. Secret number two, if you want to get your credit scores to start going up, you need to be able to boost your scores using proven strategies of growth. And then secret number three, if you have credit debt, there is no magic eraser. But you must learn how to get out of debt quickly by creating simple debt repayment strategies. And then I go into teaching mode. I talk about how negative items are deleted. I talk about how people in the credit repair industry are doing things right and some people are doing things wrong. And if you want to do things right, this is what you have to do. And then I move into secret number two. I talk about how proven strategies of growth will grow your score. I talk about how my clients don't depend on negative items being deleted. And then I get out into secret number three, how to create a debt repayment strategy. The goal is to create a gap between where they're at and. And where they want to be. And have them understand that in order for them to cross that gap, my service is going to be that bridge. So then I asked the magical question at the end of my teachings. Let me ask you guys this. Look, I. And I always say the following. This is kind of like making your own sandwich at home versus going to Subway. Everyone has the ability to put the spread on the bun. But let me ask you guys this. Who doesn't have four years or five years to figure all this out on their own? I do have a service who would love some help with all this. And all the me start popping up. I need your help. I need your help. I need your help. Because people want to be guided. People want to feel safe. And when I'm done delivering all this value, which is the best of what I got, if somebody was really paying attention and taking notes, which a lot of people are, they would literally be able to fix our credit. Adapting the know you like you and trust you marketing concept to be able to get leads into our funnel, get signups, and start working on helping people achieve their goal.
Very cool.
Awesome. Ricardo.
Yeah.
A lot of people that are listening here, they're going to be at the stage where they may not have a following yet. So they're going to need to build a following. What would you say to someone that has those fears of getting on camera? Because that's a lot of what holds people back.
Yeah, you know, that's. That's funny that you asked that, because that was such a big topic at the last conference that we talked in and I will say this. Viewers are selfish. People don't care about you, they don't care how you look. If you, if you're really fearful about putting yourself in camera, let me just say, doesn't matter what you look like, doesn't matter if you're skinny, if you're tall, it doesn't matter. Nothing matters to a viewer. The only thing that matters is what do you have to provide for me? Because the currency in the social media game is attention. One of the things that a lot of people will say, well, there's, you know, how to boost your credit scores online. It's everybody's doing that video, or how to delete something from your credit. Everybody's doing that video. I could have said the same thing. But one of those things that made the biggest impact for me throughout this entire journey of content creation and going live and stuff like that is that people are going to identify with me. There are other people that are going to identify with you. There's other people that are going to identify themselves with somebody else. Not everyone's going to like me, even if I'm bright. Not everyone is going to appreciate what I say, my tonality, the way that I look, etc. There's plenty of fish out there in the sea for everyone to catch.
Makes a lot of sense. Let's say someone gets over their fear getting on camera. They're ready to get on camera. What's the step by step process you would walk someone through to creating those first content ideas? Creating, like, what to say on camera, what to go through.
Great question. Okay. If I was to start from zero today, one of the things that I would not try to do is I would not try to flash a lifestyle that I really don't live or that I actually don't have, or a big business that I don't own. In reality, one of the biggest things that has served me as a content creator is the more relatability I have in a video, the more it actually gets to grow. So, for example, if I just fixed my credit, I always have these in my desk, at my desk, 29 credit cards. And people tend to flip out. Like, why do you have so many credit cards? Right? If I just got approved for the American Express Gold and I don't have a business or I don't have a following, I would talk about, hey, like, I'm so excited, Like, I've been working so hard, you know, I went through a bankruptcy and I finally got approved for this, by the way. I still Have a bankruptcy on my credit report. I don't know if you guys knew that. I still have a bankruptcy, but let me tell you how I actually did it. And that creates so much relatability versus me trying to show off a car that I don't own or me trying to do something that I actually. That has nothing to do with me and people. I believe that people are so smart nowadays that they can smell right through it.
Yeah, so many people just want to appear as the expert with this big slick company and that always falls flat on its face. But telling the story of what you had to go through, of the. It's really the hero's journey. What was it like for you when you first started making these videos? Was it scary at first?
You know, I've always liked the stage and attention. So yes and no. So me being a musician, I've always been used to, you know, being on stage and then whatnot. But I remember the first video that I ever made, my wife actually was the one that told me, hey, why don't you try posting something on TikTok? And I said, sure, let me do it. The worst video I've ever made in my life, by the way. But I did it right. Do it and then worry about making it pretty later. You guys have heard of it, so just do it. Just doesn't matter.
And people always want to skip ahead to selling. But what. What's the danger of skipping the know like and trust stages?
There's no value. You see, everybody's got to pay their toll, right? In order for me to get someone's contact information. From the marketing perspective, let's say if I want to obtain someone's email, I gotta give up something too, right? And the great thing about our industry is that we don't have. I can create 5, 10, 20, 30, 50 PDFs and say, hey, here is how you're gonna do it. Like, let me give it to you for free. You can find what to do on chat gbt. You can find what you need to do on YouTube university. You can find what on Google. The how is what people are willing to pay me money for. The hold me by the hand. The way that you say it, Daniel, is what people are willing to put their credit card information out for.
It's the how someone that's just really getting started, they're having this like brain fog of what do I do? Like, I want to jump into your account for a sec here. You don't have a small amount of content. You have pages and pages of videos over. Over time. So, like, how do you get all this inspiration to create all this?
It's funny that you asked that. We were in a retreat two weekends ago up in the mountains in Big Bear, and we were talking about content creation with one of my cousins that what's. How do you create the content? How do you divide the content? How do you know what to do for what video? And I say, okay, take the concept that we just learned about. Know you, like you and trust you. You're going to create content for people that don't know you and they're going to get to know you. You're going to create the same video for people who already know you and they like you. And you're going to create the same video for people who already like you, but you wanted to get them to trust you. Interestingly enough, every single one of those videos is going to get less and less views. Why? Because when you are going to develop a video of someone, someone who doesn't know you, but you want them to get to know you, you're going to have the best hook out there. Let me give you an example. One of the biggest videos I've done is never pay credit card companies a penny. Instead, do this to get them to pay you money. And then that sparks the curiosity, right? How is it that I'm not going to pay my credit card company, but they're going to pay me? So I could talk about how to use a credit card. I talk about the rewards, I talk about saving closing date, I talk about making sure that your balance is zero. All those things, right? And that sparks not only curiosity, but this sparks a division between people who believe only in cash and people who only believe in credit. And so there's this tug of war in between the comments. There's people that don't like it, there's people that love it. And one of those things that, that's one video that would be for the people that don't really know me, right? Versus somebody that already knows me. And I'm getting, I'm trying to move them along the pipeline of get to like me. It would be, hey, if you've been following this channel, then you know it's about credit. So let me share with you what I do with my credit cards and how I get American Express to pay me every single month. So the hook changes a little bit. The value is still there, but now I'm trying to move that viewer along my pipeline, right? And then the hook would change even more when I get them to do the trust me part, because I Then I would say if you've been following me for at least five to six months and you've been trying to figure out how to get better credit card approvals or a higher credit score, here's what I'm going to do for you. And then I'll deliver my value. And at the end of the day, I would say, or at the end of the video, excuse me, I would say, and if you need more help, simply click the link on my bio. It's the same video with three different spins, but it's specifically crafted for people in different stages of the pipeline.
I noticed earlier when I was hearing your TikTok, I clicked on most popular videos. This one on the top left has gotten close to 5 million views. It's fascinating about it to me. It's not slick at all, but it's amazing and it's really cool information. And then I noticed you had another video that looked very, very similar and it got fewer views. You had this whole list behind you, but you were giving slightly different information and other things were flying up in front and I wondered why you had multiple videos about the same topic. And this is why. This is the thing you're talking about, isn't it?
It is. And also, you know, one of the things that we were discussing in the at the cabin up in Big Bear is that there are going to be videos that you recycle over and over and over again that are going to attract new viewers, that are going to attract people that don't know you. Right? And that's going to be one of them. A big tip for all the credit heroes out there that are listening. If you guys have CHAT GPT, you guys can literally create your own bot to deliver daily news to you in the world of credit. And that's one of the things that I did for me and my content creation team. I have them on this loop on this email every single day. And I told the GPT, I want you to deliver things that are relatable to me, such as credit, financing, mortgages, things that are relevant to somebody who's trying to improve their credit because their dream is to buy a home.
And for anyone out there that's doing that, I mean, I'm creating ChatGPT prompts too, but I think it's basically put in ChatGPT what Ricardo just said, but also add the words like remind me every day at 9am or look, look for news every day at 9am with all this and it'll Automatically pull that every time.
Every single time. Without fail, you'll get your daily reminder in an email.
ChatGPT will email you.
Yes.
I didn't know that. That's fascinating.
Yeah, they'll email you and it says something about your daily news delivered something.
Like that with some of these popular TikToks that you've had. Like some of your TikToks here, if we go to the best performing ones again, we have one that's almost at five million, a million, hundreds of thousands of views on these other ones. What parts of these videos do you feel like made them perform so well?
You know, when, when you're looking at data, it has to do with the first couple of seconds on a video, right? But if you sat down and said, okay, like what are those parts that will make a video pop? In my opinion, because there are people out there that are making far more videos and getting far more views than I am. But what's worked for me is really focusing on the hook. One thing that I will tell you is if you tell somebody this is how you boost your credit score by 50 points or by a hundred points, you'll get some views. But if you say I lost a hundred points and my credit score dropped, meaning you take a concept that you make it negative, you'll get far more views. You see, there are multiple hooks that you can use. You can create verbal hooks, you can create visual hooks. And I'm kind of touching on those buckets right there on this video. I say this is going to upset you. I didn't say this is going to make you happy. Right. And then I put warning, debt collectors banned. And then I talk about that list of the FTC where there's a bunch of debt collectors that are banned.
It sounds like creating a hook that has a negative start can help. Is there anything else that you've noticed that's had a strong ability to get a lot of viewers?
So as far as, I mean, if you follow the hook story offer concept, you know, the offer is not all the time like, hey, click the link in my bio or hey, schedule a consultation or hey, you know, sign up for my free trial, whatever that's going to be. Right? The offer isn't always that. The offer could be, hey, make sure you save this video because you're going to go back to it and use this later. Right? That could be the offer. Or hey, make sure you share this with someone. You know it's currently struggling. Right. The offer could be so many different things, but following the hook Story offer form of video creation is exactly what has gotten us so many views. And then if you do something bold, if you do a bold promise, I do have a video where I say 120 point increase in 24 in less than 24 hours. I'm not kidding. That was the hook and it was me. Interviewer, not even a client. Literally a viewer, right? Give the best of what you got, a viewer. And the viewer was like, there's no way that this is going to work. And he goes, and Ricardo, I kid you not, my credit score jumped up like 120something points in less than 24 hours. Another way to create offers, if you will, which will actually create traction and create engagement and retention is at the end of your videos. Ask your viewers if you want more information or if you want me to keep you updated with this comment the word blank. So you do the cta, the call to action. And when the video is good enough, they will sit through the video and they will actually comment.
You've also talked about getting on live and going and going live because I see you pumped out tons of content over the years. But even just in the last month, like it's not like you're needing to post daily. Walk us through what that looks like. How do you set those lives up?
I use my little iPad here, right? I just put my iPad, I go typically live on TikTok. I hit the, you know, live button and I just do my intro. Similar to the credit heroes intro, right. Hi, how you doing? My name is Ricardo. I'm a credit repair expert, which means that I went through extensive training to learn or understand complex credit situations for you all, simplify all this information and give this to you in a friendly to understand format. Then I just kind of go through my spiel. But one of the things that I really love to do and the reason why I feel like Lives Live streaming is so successful is because there is no. Let me hit the pause button and let me, let me erase that little, that little piece of video that I did there. There is. People get to see how vulnerable you are. And the weird part about that is that it's 10 times easier to get to have somebody know you, like you and trust you when they're really connecting in real life time versus looking at a video. You know, I asked a magical question. Typically I do a TikTok live for about an hour on a daily basis. Sometimes I do too if I have enough time and I'll, I'll ask people towards the end of the live by the way, guys, like, how many of you guys are new to my channel or newer? You know, drop a, drop a number one in the chat for me and those newer people, I'll kind of reintroduce myself and then I'll tell my story. Those, my goal is to get them to connect emotionally with me. Get, get to have them move along that pipeline of know you. Because now they know me. Now I want them to like me and eventually trust me. You know, the, the funny part about lives, and I did. I, I've never told this to anyone. We've been reached out by multiple companies trying to do deals with us. One of the biggest ones was Toyota. Toyota reached out and said, hey, we understand that your dad, who went through a brain tumor and now he's the world's happiest Uber driver, drives a Toyota. Is that right, Ricardo? Did we hear that right in your life? I'm like, that's right. So it's really cool because now when you look at it from the business perspective, big businesses are, they understand how much of a weight and impact creators or influencers have on consumerism, and they're willing to reach out to you. They're willing to pay you those big bucks. They're willing to give you a piece of that market share that they would pay, you know, some other marketing company out there. Right.
So you're doing it an hour a day. Is that 30 days a month or is that. Or just during, during the week? Monday, five days a week. Okay, yeah. And, but, and you're. With that, you're getting around, I think you showed earlier, getting around 3 to 400,000 views a month. Is that correct? Through that method?
Yeah, 300. A little over 350,000 viewers that come into the live stream. And I mean, if you think about it, that's a small price to pay. You know, an hour of my day, maybe two hours. If I do two lives. It's not too bad for that many views. You know, I don't, I've never said this in a podcast interview, but I'll tell you guys, my wife became a loan officer, and when she learned how the loan officer world works, she said, ricardo, if you want your clients to get approved, here's what you're going to do. She said, the bank understands that people go through hard times. The bank understands about delay payments from the past, the bankruptcy, the repos, the charged off accounts. That's not the reason why they're going to get declined. Banks want to know that your customer represents a low risk and the only way to represent a low risk is not based on how much of a badass they are at removing bad credit, but how they've been handling their credit accounts for at least the last 12 months. Sell them the finish line. Don't sell them the process. So when I go live and I get these leads and I get people fired up, they're like, me, I want your help, Ricardo. Like, I don't know how to do this. Like holding by the hand, right? Okay. I say, how many of you guys here are trying to fix your credit because your goal is to buy a home at some point in 2026 or. Or in 2027. Like, if you're trying to buy the house of your dreams for you and your family, move in and make forever memories, have stability for your children, a backyard for them to grow up in. I'm painting the dream, right? I say, good. This only applies to you. Everything that I'm telling you is specifically crafted and tailored for the bank or lender to see your credit profile and realize that you don't represent as much of a risk as you once did. So it doesn't. It doesn't become about deleting all the bad credit. It's not about keeping your credit file squeaky clean. It becomes about crossing the finish line. So we created three stages in our program. The fix it stage, the plan it stage, and the close it stage. Fix it stage is where you get to work directly with. With your credit improvement company. The plan it stage is when you get introduced to a loan officer so you can have a conversation, perhaps maybe a pre approval to see where you're at. And in the close it stage is when you're graduating the program. We're sending those last few letters to remove those dispute remarks because we all know underwriting hates to see those dispute remarks. And you're getting ready to close on that home loan that really changed the game for us.
Amazing. Is there any way that you set up these live streams, like, with anything behind you, behind your head, on the green screen feature to position you as an expert or help the audience that comes in? Because my understanding is that TikTok will not just show your live feeds to your audience. These are actually doing lives on platforms right now. Actually push out to a lot of new audiences too, right?
Yeah, I mean, I do end up with, for the TikTok lives. It's. It's about, I don't know, two, 300, maybe 400 new followers on a daily basis when I do the TikTok live. So I Know exactly what you mean. As far as, what do I have in my background? Well, this is my background for my home office. And so I kind of got into my DIY stage and I said, you know what, hon? I'm going to put a bunch of things in the home office. I'm going to, you know, have a really nice background. I have some lighting studio set up and whatnot. But as far as like green screens go on actual on the platform.
Sure.
You know, I have results from the clients. And here's the funny part about this, by the way. I have clients that come back into the TikTok live on a daily basis, almost as if I'm doing roll call. Like they are there and they will still, like they will stay on. And then it's funny because people get to believe so much in your message and what you're doing to the point where they're willing to go to battle for you. Honestly, Keenan. Honestly, Daniel, I never thought that like that was gonna happen. It just happened. Have you got it figured out, Ricardo? No, but I'm trying to. And I've made a lot of money along the way doing it. Don't worry about making it.
Pretty simply do it with these lives you're doing. Is there any timing that you do with these, like to get the most consumers or most people on your lives? Is there a particular time you go live?
I only do it during business hours just because I have two little ones. So just go during business hours. Typically I do one, you know, like around 8:30, maybe 9 in the morning, depending if I have a team huddle or not that day, then I'll do another one maybe at 11 o' clock if I have time, you know, from 11 to 12 and then that's about it. You know, I stick to one, maybe two lives per day and get, get new leads in, get new signups in and, and be able to just kind of keep the presence right.
If you had to guess like what percent of your clients come from these lives that you're doing compared to just find your profile, they watch your videos and just decide to sign up or start service from there, I would say.
Like a good 90%. A good 90%. You know, there's something called the attractive character in a business. And the funny thing about my company, the financial er is no one knows my company. No one knows what my company's name is. They know Ricardo, until they actually sign up. Then they know who the financial er is. We, we buy based on emotion. We don't buy based on, on Things whether they make sense or not, Right. I mean, and I always heard the whole thing, like, hey, if we were logical creatures, none of us would be married. You know, we would have. We wouldn't have any wars. Right? But we're emotional human beings. So, um, the reason why the lives work so well for us is because it's the easiest way for me to become relatable as the attractive character of our company to someone who needs to help.
Let's switch gears. I'm going to ask you a few rapid questions. I know you answered these last time that you were on the podcast, but I want to see if any of your answers have changed. So answer with the very first thing that pops into your head.
Okay? Okay.
What is your business superpower to be the attractive character? What's your business Kryptonite, meaning the area you had to work hardest to improve.
Retention.
What does business ownership mean to you?
Having the responsibility to make sure you give your best so your employees continue to do what they do best.
What drives and motivates you?
My family.
What's your definition of success?
Even though you didn't get it right, you continue to work towards getting it right.
And if you could go back in time and tell yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?
You got this.
And do you have any other advice for someone just starting out with a credit repair business?
Somebody out there is looking for you. Someone out there wants to get to know you and needs you in their life. Just because someone is 10 steps ahead of you, that doesn't mean that they're willing to teach those who are not at that same level. So this is your opportunity for you to do that.
And what's next for you? What's the next big goal?
The next big goal is to be able to buy acreage. We want to be able to buy some nice big pieces of land out there. And more than anything is to expand our horizon and what other areas we are talented in. Not just credit repair, but I have a calling for teaching, and I want to be able to teach more people at a higher level. And having to juggle between how to run a business and how to be able to assign certain administrative tasks or, you know, more complex things of the business to other people. That's. That's the goal, right? To kind of walk out of the business and be able to just simply learn other traits.
Cool. And how can people find your company? How can they reach out to you? What's the best way to find you?
My social media handles are probably the easiest way for you to reach out to me. If my social media handles are available to anyone here, feel free to send me a DM on Instagram. Feel free to send me a DM on Tik Tok. I'll be more than happy to have a conversation with you. A lot of the credit heroes reached out to me from the first podcast. Said Ricardo. Can I get your number? Said sure. Here it is. Give me a call. Anything that I can do to help somebody get a head start in the company or in their company or in this business, I'll be more than happy to.
Well, I want to thank you so much for your time today, Ricardo. This was amazing. This is going to be a really good show.
Thank you Daniel. So excited to be here.
