Okay, the big question is, do I need to send my disputes with certified mail? This is one of the most frequently asked questions that I hear within our credit repair cloud community, as well as the whole credit repair industry as a whole. No one seems to know the answer of this. Do I need to send my disputes with certified mail? What do you think? Well, for this episode of my credit repair Tip of the month, I thought I would answer this question once and for all. But before I jump into this, if you want to know more about disputing techniques and even get certified in disputing, all for less than it would cost to take your family to McDonald's, click the link below this video or go to creditherochallenge.com and and join our Credit Hero challenge today. Okay, let's dive in. Do I need to send my disputes with certified mail? Okay, I'm going to ask you a question. Okay. Can you send every dispute letter by certified mail?
Yes.
Is certified mail expensive and time consuming? Yes. Will you get better results by sending every letter by certified mail? No. Not even a little bit? See, you can spend a small fortune and waste a ton of hours pouring over thousands of certified mail and return receipts, but it won't get you ahead at all. In fact, it would be a total waste of time and money. Now, if you've heard that you're supposed to send disputes by certified mail, it's okay. There's a lot of misinformation out there, but I'm here to shoot it to you straight, okay? And to make it as easy as possible for you to build your profitable credit repair business from nothing. That's my goal. To help you to build a successful, profitable business from nothing, where you can eventually make millions of dollars and change lots of lives and live the life of your dreams. If that's what you want, you're going to need to save money. Okay, so here are a couple. There, there. I'm not going to lie. Okay. I'm not going to lie. There are a few situations, two exactly, that I can think of, where it is beneficial to send certified mail. Okay? The two cases are ID theft, where you need to send signed affidavits. Okay? You have to send a signed affidavit. And the second time you'd want to use certified mail is if you plan to sue the recipient.
That's it.
Do you want to sue the credit bureaus? Really? For real? I know you threaten it, but do you really want to sue them? No. That'd be really expensive and it would take forever and it would cost so much time and money, so we don't really want to do that. Okay? The truth is, when you send by certified mail, this is the fascinating part. This is where everyone goes, oh, okay. The truth is, when you send your disputes by certified mail, guess what? They are processed the very same as regular mail. See, after signing your slip, once the bureau's receive it, it gets fed into a big machine, it gets stripped from the envelope, and then it gets scanned and processed exactly like regular mail. Okay? The only difference is you have proof of when it was received. Now, after years of mentoring thousands of cred heroes, I've come to realize that when you send threatening gotcha letters, which are basically proof to the bureaus that they signed but didn't follow the FCRA protocol, they don't care anyways, okay? They don't care, they don't do anything differently, and they respond the same without the paper trail, okay? Sometimes they even ignore disputes. So if this happens to you, the only real benefit of having a signed certified receipt would be as proof to a judge if you decide to take the credit bureau to court. Okay? So unless you plan on suing the bureau's, I recommend that you save your time and money.
