Hello everyone, this is Adele, Data science educator and evangelist at datacamp. Over the past year or so, hosting the Dataframe podcast, I had the incredible privilege and opportunity to speak with a variety of data leaders and thought leaders around making organizations data driven. A lot of the time, many of the guests touch upon the same theme, which is data literacy and data culture. This is why I'm very, very excited to be announcing that September will be Data Literacy Month at datacamp. To give some background on what inspired us to come up with Data Literacy Month, September 8th is International Literacy Day. Since 1967, International Literacy Day celebrations have taken place annually around the world to remind the public of the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity and human rights and to advance the literacy agenda towards a more literate and sustainable society. Now, as we inch towards an era of data literacy, we wanted to shine a spotlight on the importance of data literacy for both individuals and organizations. So throughout September, expect tons of webinars, podcasts, articles, cheat sheets, infographics, all aimed at demystifying data literacy for individuals and organizations. We have a stellar lineup of thought leaders and practitioners joining us this month, such as Cindy Howson, chief Data Strategy Officer at Thoughtspot and host of the Data Chief Podcast Jordan Murrow, author of Be Data Literate, Kate Strachni, founder of datacated, Brent Dykes, author of Data Storytelling, and a lot more. So be sure to check out the page I linked in the Description page for a full agenda of events in September. As for Data Framed, next week's episode will be with Jordan Moreau where we discuss what are the data skills everyone needs to succeed in the 21st century. I'm excited for what's in store for September and I look forward to forward to hear from you on how data literacy is changing your life, organization and society at large. Happy Data Literacy Month everyone and see you Monday.
