Dave Robinson teaches you how to explore and visualize data in R using dplyr and ggplot2. You'll work with the Gapminder dataset of country statistics to learn filtering, sorting, and creating charts that actually tell you something.
Chapters
Hi, I'm Dave Robinson and I'm your instructor for this introductory course on data analysis with R and the tidyverse. This course will start you on the path to analyzing your own data sets with the R programming language, particularly using the powerful set of tools known as the Tidyverse. The course analyzes the gapminder data set of country statistics over time, which will give you a feel for the kinds of exploratory analyses common in data science. You'll learn to use the dplyr package to filter, sort, and summarize your data, and be introduced to the ggplot2 package for creating informative graphs. This course offers a solid foundation for many other datacamp courses that teach data transformation and visualization. I look forward to seeing you in the course.
