Do this in remembrance of tonight. In the future, your children will ask, "Why is this night different to all the other nights?" And you will remember as you eat, for tonight I set you free.
Come, come, come.
Bread without leaven, for tonight we must hurry.
Come, come, come. Come and help in preparation. Come and humble yourself. Prostrate yourself before God.
Lamb with bitter herbs, the years of slavery were bitter time for both you and your God. Now I will raise you up.
Come now and shine like a star in the morning. Shine for we the chosen of God.
Eat all of it. There will be no room for it on the journey. Stand ready. Freedom is here.
Watch now as the angel has passed. Watch what comes in the morning. The angel of the Lord has passed. Hurry, Israel. Follow Moses. Aaron, my brother, Miriam, my sister, come and join me. We have much to tell the people tonight. The people are ready. They are patched, dressed, and ready to go. They've been longing for this night for nearly 400 years. We must claim our blessings on God's promises. We will have many blessings to sing about. Children of Israel, you are free from your plight. Mom! Our hearts have filled with song! We sing out strong! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Well, this is a problem. That's a lot of water. Oh Moses, what are we gonna do? I just guess we'll have to go around it. I see chariot dust. We're all gonna die. Moses brought us here to get us killed. Pharaoh's gonna catch us. Trust, believe, and see God's mighty power. Turning around won't make it go away, Moses. Oh, what are we gonna do? It's getting cloudy and stormy. Look at the huge waves. The water has— the water is— God has provided a way. God is good all the time. All the time. God is good. People of God, follow me. We've almost got them! Hey, they're walking on water! No, the water is— I mean, the water isn't. Um, well, what's going on? Seems to be some magic trick. They've gone through the water! After them! I will praise Him! The Lord Is God And I Will Exalt Him! The Lord Is God And I Will Praise Him! The Lord Is God And I Will Exalt Him! I Sing Unto Thee For He Has Triumphed Gloriously; Horsemen Ride Are Failing To Pursue You Yeehaw! I Will Sing Unto Thee For He Has Triumphant Glory Still With Horses That Rider Fail Into Your Scene Ye Haah! The Lord Is— I will praise Him! The Lord is God! I exalt Him! The Lord is God! And I will praise Him! The Lord is God! And I will exalt Him! The Lord liveth, and blessed be the Rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted! The Lord liveth, and blessed be the Rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted! The Lord is good! And I will praise him— The Lord is good! —and I will exalt him— The Lord is good! —and I will praise him— The Lord is good! —I will exalt Him.
I led my people to the land I had prepared for them. When they arrived, they grumbled and fought amongst themselves. They decided they did not wish to enter the Promised Land, so Moses and I led them back into the desert. For 40 years we led those people. I sent bread from heaven every day. They called it mana. We wandered through the dry, barren desert, and I gave them water from a rock. We fought battles together against other tribes in the desert. I spoke to them and I gave them my law. They rejected me and angered me. But I forgave them. We went through tribulation, rebellion, frustration, and repentance, always together. I never left them. We built the Tabernacle and placed the Ark of the Covenant at its heart so I could live with them. I was close enough to feel their pain. They brought their broken lives to me. I heard them and I healed them. Then I took them back to the Promised Land, the place I had prepared for them. And I offered it again to them. This time they accepted, and I opened the waters for them once again, and they passed through. My promise and plan were now theirs to participate in. They had entered the Promised Land.
