The video is a child‑focused dramatization of the Exodus story, presented as a weekly adventure with the narrator (Moses) and his companion Malaki. It opens with an invitation to imagine a hurried escape from Egypt, asking children what they would take if they could only grab a few items. The dialogue then introduces the threat of Pharaoh’s army, prompting a question of what to do. Moses declares that God will perform a miracle—parting the Red Sea—if he raises his staff, emphasizing that God is with them. The segment ends with a reminder that God’s presence allows believers to trust Him even in urgent, dangerous journeys. The tone is playful, instructional, and encouraging, aiming to teach kids to trust in God’s guidance.

Hello kids, welcome to this amazing journey that we're going on this week. This is the story of escaping from Egypt, and we're telling it now looking back over what's happened in the last 40 years. And as I'm thinking about it, I'm remembering that first day when we had to leave Egypt, and we had to leave quickly. So we just had to grab what we could, what we knew we could carry, and go. What would you take? What would you take if you could only take what you could grab in your hands and go? We made a quick meal and then we took, we ate that meal on the night before and then we took what was left and we went. What would you take? Come with us on this journey this week as we learn about trusting in God.
Oh, there you are, Moses. I've been looking everywhere for you. I was giving my camels some water and I just lost you, Moses. And I was, it's just, there's so much sand everywhere. We've been walking away from Egypt and I've got sand in my toes.
Malachi, Malachi, it's okay. Thank you for coming to see me. What can I do for you today?
Well, see, here's the thing.
Oh, Malak, I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you. Look out there. You see our friends? We have new friends this week, and we're going to be telling them stories. So let's remember them as you tell the story to me. So now tell me, what was it you wanted to say?
Well, uh, hello everyone. Um, well, okay, um, so there's no time to explain. So the— oh, it's— the army's coming. Army? Pharaoh's army. Is coming. They decided that they, they, they didn't want us to leave Egypt after all. Uh, what, what are we going to do?
Well, I think that I will just do a miracle from God. God has told me that this was going to happen. I know, I know the ocean is— the sea is in front of us and the army's behind us and there's a mountain over there, but God has told me that if I hold my staff over the waters, that the waters will part and we will be able to cross over. Shall we see if it works? Because you know that God is with us. Oh, look, Malachi, run! Everyone will follow you.
Uh, yeah, I suppose they will. Oh, um, yeah, I gotta get away from these Egyptians. Okay, goodbye.
As you can see, this week is going to be quite an adventure with Malachi. Some people call him a whinger. I call him a friend because he helps me know things that are coming and to be prepared. Have you ever had to hurry on a journey? Maybe you have, but you know that God is always with us, and so we can trust in him.
